Poison allows you to decrease enemy attack power as well as defense power
I'd go with Vile Striker in all situations where they aren't immune to poison

It has a low chance of delivering strong Poison, and from what I've observed, it seems to poison for 20, 20+ seconds. Not bad, especially if you get lucky with status.
I really think WHB needs to have a wider ideal use, or add other high-star weapons that specialize in one type of monster. It feels somewhat out of place, feeling situational at current.

Considering it has a 10-hit combo, the Vile Striker's low chance is more like a high chance.
If you don't poison a monster during the first combo, you will in the next.

For usefulness, the Vile
For usefulness, the Vile Striker.
For sheer coolness, the Hunting Blade. Gotta love those ghostly Wolvers.
People only like Vile striker for royal jelly runs.
