On a snarby run we lost a party member at the elevator on stratum 6. Just as the elevator was going down someone new came in. They weren't moving but i thought this was lag (player 1 was Euro ). After a minute they finally moved but then just stood in front of the gate during snarby. I drew several attacks at them to make them move. After snarby another party member (player 2) went to the elevator and stood on it, and then player 1 moved. The same thing happend at moorcraft manor. Is this some sort of multiboxing ?. If this is a violation of TOS how do I report it?
Is this a violation ?, and how do I complain after logging out of SK.
The only way to join after Basil is if you are a friend/guildee of a person in the party and the party is open so you can join, or to receive an invite from the party leader. From the sounds of it, it was probably an alt of the party leader though. Not a whole lot you can do about it, and if I am correct "effective multi-boxing" where you duplicate keystrokes for all instances of the game is not allowed. "Ineffective multi-boxing" where you control only one at a time sounds as though it is allowed. Although it would have at least been polite of him to say "ignore my alt".
Small terminology correction. You were going to depth 6, not stratum 6. Stratum 6 is depths 24-28.

Multiboxing isn't against the TOS, but most people are polite enough not to do it in random parties.
All the crowns , heat , possibility of mats were set up for 4 people but in reality 2 people got 25% and 1 player got 50%. I can see multiboxing to let a character regain mist while running another one, but thats about it. We wouldn't let another player pay us half of what were asking for an item. Why should they be allowed to screw us out of heat and crowns?.
Heat and crowns aren't split. You know that, right?
If a party member hits a 50 CR piece, ALL members gain 50 CR.
Same effect goes for heat and tokens.
What Mals said... heat, crowns, and tokens are duplicated for all party members. The only thing divided up and given at random is materials. Which is why most people that invite their alts to play with them do it in solo parties.

2 players get 50 and the third trades the crowns and mats from the run back to the fourth character, who now has 100 crowns plus extra mats . They have doubled their money and made other players work harder. Anybody else wondering how much is being stolen daily from players?.
like Nicoya-Kitty most people who do that will eighter warn the party or just won't do it in random party's (allone) seen few people do it (and they asked me first if i was ok with it) also i solo most of the times because i hate random parties haha (to much chance for trolls or beggers or god knows what else of idiot)
@ Skidkid.
They aren't stealing from you. You don't get any less crowns because that alt is in the party. All he does is fill the last slot and gains more. Gaining more isn't taking from others because if that alt wasn't there, you'd still be getting the same amount of crowns. Also, if you revive that alt you probably get MORE heat from the alt being in there. It also collects 3 extra heals and remedies which can be insanely useful to a party's success in a danger room or arena. So tell me. How's that stealing? Granted he's possibly gaining more mats, but really. Complaining over mats is pointless since if you really want to be getting a lot of mats you should just go solo to begin with because just being in a party means your mats are being 'stolen'.
@Skidkid
you also forget he's paying twice the elevator cost to get 2 people onto that level.
and as mal said, he's not stealing from you, you're not getting any less crowns or heat.
you only have to work a little harder cos the mosnters are 'tougher' and you're carrying a dead weight
it certainly isn't against the TOS, but more of an ethical thing...
In most MMOs multi-boxing is allowed, but multi-clienting isn't. I don't know if this is the case for SK, since both characters must pay elevator fees and the mobs are twice as hard, but a GM has said that using a program to send keystrokes to both windows is indeed against the TOS. I guess you can always sent in a report and if the GMs are so inclined (a lot of the times, things like this get ignored since it's not as detrimental to the game as, say, exploiting glitches), they can check out their records or something.
Personally, I think that it's kind of rude to do this sort of thing even if it's allowed. If you have your own party with an alt and nobody else, go crazy; if you have other people there, then you're effectively getting twice the reward while doing the same amount of work as before.
I had someone to it to me however they were polite enough to tell me, having the party open allowed me to jump into a lower level of the clockworks, so I finished the level and then went solo as I really didn't want to work harder for 1/3rd of the mats. I did think it was a bit off, and perhaps they should have closed the party, but hay they were the party leader.
Does it really matter if this party member was an alt or not?
If you are in a party with a member that isn't doing anything, either kick them, or ask the party leader to kick them. If the party leader won't kick, then go solo.
I do wish that you didn't lose heat when going solo, but you can always wait until the end of the level to leave.
Depends. If player 1 moves and player 2 does not, and then player 2 moves and player 1 does not, then you may be able to assume that player 1 and player 2 are the same person.
To complain, report the knights names that you suspect were multiboxing.
I am not sure if multiboxing is allowed or not. Me, I am not brazen/stupid enough to multibox with PUGs.
