Hi everyone i need some help making an anti-vanaduke gear build.
Basically i suck against Vana and i need a good gear set.
I already have some gear set. I am having trouble deciding what helmet that protects me from fire and looks good with divine mantle.

Take this as a challenge...

I know this may seem stupid but i barely ever get time on this game so i want to level the most useful items that help me against vanaduke and also makes me look good without the use of a costume.
P.S I have 5* armor and a shield but i don't think its best for me to fight Vanaduke with a skolver set and grey owlite shield with DA and polaris.

First things first: get rid of the Dragon Scale shield and replace it with either a Grey Owlite, Volcanic Plate or Crust of Almire shield.

First, Vanaduke is more about not getting hit than about your stuff (of course, good weapons help a lot).

As for armor, Divine is not that great since Vanaduke Mace is full normal, and there is almost no Shadow damage in Vanaduke level (the only shadow are from the pathetic zombies there). A better option is Vog Cub, which works wonder for swordsman.
For the shield, Nicoya is right. Dragon Scale is bad, there is almost no piercing in FSC and other shields do the job better.

As for weapons, AP and Blitz is redudant. I would take only one (at least before AP is reworked). If you want both piercing and elemental, I would take a Polaris for elemental, but that's not required.

Glacius vs DA : it's a matter of taste. Don't get both, it would be a waste, choose one and stick with it.

Glacius fan recommends DA for FSC

I like Glacius a lot, and have recommended it to many people, and have run FSC with it successfully. But for FSC I recommend Divine Avenger over Glacius, because the wide swing and large knockback of DA mean that you can swing into crowds of zombies, do huge damage, and push them away from you.

when i die for first time in phase 5 (and since we all did all we could to conserve revives), i head straight to Vanaduke with my extended invulnerability. having either glacius or divine avenger for thwacking for a while does help my team put off a little hp from the beast...
then i run away (usually on fire but generally unharmed) and return to blitzin...
