I think we should be able to pay for things at the AH with not only cr, but with ce! for example:
0*: 5+ ce
1*: 10+ ce
2*: 50+ ce
3*: 150+ ce
4*: 800+ ce
5*: 1,000+ ce

That way I think ce might be a little easier for noobs to get ahold of, and thats good for those of us who are swimming in ce! And... we can use ME too.

maybe

good idea but that screws up the bidding. There would have to be a set equivalant between crns and ce and there isn't which screws everything up

It would also slow down the

It would also slow down the CE-CR exchange market, as p2p players would only bother trading in CE.

Huh?

If you want to buy something, and you only have CE, you can already sell it for crowns to bid with. Allowing the buyer to unilaterially pay in CE instead of crowns would just be a way of forcing the seller to perform cheap currency exchanges for the buyer, which is weird, confusing, and decidedly unfair.

Paying with mist energy would just be a blatant exploit for converting mist into CE. Everyone would sell scrap metal for 100 energy each and buy them with mist from their alternate accounts. You have no understanding of crystal energy at all if you think there's even the remotest chance of that.

Giving the seller the option to conduct the auction either in crowns or CE wouldn't be completely outrageous, but it would mean that the auction house would end up taking its fee in crystal energy, which destroys crystal energy from circulation without anyone actually spending it. Since crystal energy only enters circulation when someone pays real money, I think that's rather inappropriate. Also, providing the option would make several parts of using the auction house more complicated, and I don't see any real benefit to doing so. It doesn't make CE any "easier for noobs to get ahold of"; getting CE is merely a matter of paying for it, and it's not going to magically make CE cheaper to buy. And it's "good for [people] who are swimming in CE" only to the extent that it lets them dodge currency conversion costs.
