It gives a reason to have multiple characters in one account. Probably the only reason available to have multiple characters in that same account.
Why Three Rings should or should not bring back the passes. POST you REASON(s):
But they still share mist and crystal energy I assume, so why don't you just use one knight anyway if elevators are free, what's the point of using another knight?
As one who uses my pass regularly, I've grown to wuve and cherish its existence.
On an unrelated note, why do people get multiple characters? What stops you from equiping your proto gear or buying some 1 star items and restarting that way?
I'm with everyone else.
One pass one one account does not give anymore of a reason to have more than 1 character. More than 1 account however is debatable since mist isn't shared then. Plus you act as an alt with 100mist at disposal at anytime due to free runs.
Please make sense in your OP or we wontt understand like when ppl dnot use good grammer and we dont undrstand and yeah so please try to elaborate pls what i mean is make sure posters can read wat you mean plz ty
Hector-Uribe's alt guys
(Which may be greivos's Alt.)
Still, no one blames you -.-
The elevator pass if thats is what your referring to only works for the knight you buy it for. If you want all 3 of your characters to have passes then you need to buy 3 individual passes.
Excuse me but YOU guys are going off topic here. The question is why Three Rings should or should not bring back the passes. POST your REASONS:
*puts that as new OP*
And I was just showing an example. I for one like having different names. As well as I can be in different guilds. All I need are passes to do runs, that way I won't have to make alternates on other accounts for my different characters. Energy is Energy. With the passes it'll only serve me as something to use to craft and revive/open energy gates that have boxes locked inside.
@ Njthug. I can do as many runs as I want on Kitty-Softpaws and that character TOO has the pass. It is shared on accounts. 1 pass shared on one account for all 3 slots of character making.
Off topic: "Kitty Softpaws". lol.
On topic: I'm sure the f2p community would like it if energy prices went back down, and that probably won't happen with people using these energy passes. Just a thought.
If only we could change the market. I don't know to what. Only thing I'd pay something monthly to has to be that pass or if not then it'll be occasionally like every scarce months or so on.
They could fix that since the pass should be working like *party packs* where you have to buy it for a specific knight. Regardless, learn to edit your post instead of re-posting another comment like 10 seconds after you posted one. Spiral Knights will not turn into a monthly payment since then this game would just be purely P2p, and another thing the market prices are not the max price I seen before. I saw it hit up to 50k Crowns for 100ce (but the highest recored price which is realistic was about 10.5k to 12k crowns for 100ce). All it means is you have to do 3 to 4 runs to get 100 ce you just need to work harder since your F2p compared to the P2p who well lets be honest usually when you pay a bit you do get an advantage over the f2p player.
The elevator pass is fine how it is IMO. Its a 6$ monthly subscription, honestly as a SK player of 3 days I almost bought one until I realized I would eat most if not all the content this game has in less then a week. So far for me and my experience with SK, its not worth investing my cash until there is A LOT of content. There are a number of F2P games with massive amounts of content that do not require you to pay to continue playing after a period of time like SK. When comparing the value its obvious my money will be spent else where until I see WAY more content and just overall more value for my cash, as IMO buying energy is a waste unless its bought with CR.
Being a pretty avid/hardcore gamer for years I have experienced and seen a multitude of F2P/P2P games each with their own marketing strategies. SK being one of the worst I have come across due to the obvious nature of energy. Though I must give credit to the strategy as it is strongly alluring due to the aspects of this game and for it just being overall fun.
At this point OOO has to decide what its market strategy will be, the EP (aka monthly subs), or CE (aka required to play). To be honest OOO is probably seeing which ones is generating the most and will stick with that.
From my point of view with the EP strategy the value of buying CE with real money drops drastically, and buying CE with CR will drastically increase the CR price for CE. This strategy will create less F2P players and more monthly subscribers, yet it will also cause players to eat content much much quicker. And a game without something to keep its players busy usually suffers from player lack of interest due the the rate they consume content.
With the CE strategy one can expect the value of CE for CR to drop from its current 7k price due to the nature of needing the CE to progress past 10 floors in any clockworks dungeon with the limited 100 ME tank. This option would create more F2P players if the CE for CR price was dropped to 5k or something a tier 2 player can make in a solo run on 100ME/CE.
For my opinion there are way better strategies to use to generate income. Off the top of my head i can think of 3 but I will not mention the games that currently use these strategies. Also with new games on the horizon, I guess every F2P dungeon crawler will be losing an amount of players.
nah, the passes should stay. No, they shouldn't be accessible to alts until you buy a separate one for them.
@Anakletos it's really useful for end-game and you're looking for particular items to build. I have 7 paid alts, and they make an okay living on 100 mist.
@Xithos you'll see 80% of the game in a week, but you'll be hung up for a while on FSC, Shadow Lairs, then boss solos. Passes make it easy to get there without worry for your mist to run out.
Also, rev runs aren't so sinful anymore.
You mean for different accounts Tengu? Honestly there is no point of having another character on the same account since it uses up your energy. This pass MAY be the only reason why. That way I don't have to spend money on different accounts when my alts are just for fun ideas unlike my main.
I don't really do that mule thing where you have a character hold on to a depth to get quick access when you're done with something.
As far as I can tell, it doesn't matter if it's the same of different accounts altogether, you will lose mist if you don't buy for all -1. Happened to me with my first.
I M confus-ed.
