I have a complete ash tail cap and can't think of what to upgrade it to.

I am doing mostly FSC these days but I have a full set of Volcanic Salamander which includes a UV max fire resist. I also have armor of the fallen with increased fire resistance so I don't know if vog really gets me that much in comparison. ASI increase is OK I guess. The Skolver damage bonus seems nice but also kind of pointless since who needs piercing protection at this skill level? If I do JK I take the GF and the volcanic salamander and get my ultra damage bonus.

I guess I could hold on to in and go for snarbolax cap at somepoint? Any thoughts?

Bonus damage is pointless because you are so skilled you don't need the pierce protection? What?

If you feel so skilled then who cares about that or about Vog's inferior Fire resist, get these sword bonuses.

I wasn't super clear, the pierce protection only seems super applicable to the JK runs. I do feel skilled enough to do JK in just about any combination of armor I already have, so getting 5* pierce seems redundant. If there were some Tier 3 boss that did pierce I'd probably want to get the Skolver.

I guess for me it would come down to do I want the ASI or to wait for the snarbolax with it's nice shadow defense? Is ASI that noticeable with just Medium increase?

Maybe you should decide

Maybe you should decide whether or not you plan to do continuous Shadow Lair delves. I think that that should help you make your decision regarding Snarb Vs Vog.
