As you might know, ragecrafting refers to crafting large quantities of items in hopes of obtaining UVs(Unique Variants). It may seem pointless, but… it’s actually quite profitable. But without anyone telling newbies about it, I don’t imagine you guys will just “find out” somehow. Anyway,
The theory works like this:
1. Choose a good ragecrafting item (e.g. brandishes, wolver coats, wolver caps). Good ragecrafting items are items which will be useful with a wide variety of UVs.
2. Bulk buy materials for that item for cheap prices. Search around on the forums, or in the trade channel.
3. Craft said item (I’ll use the brandish as an example)
From my calculations (assuming that you bought the brandish materials for 500 crowns total), you will pay: 400 crowns+50 energy (4000 crowns)+ 500 crowns = 4900 crowns.
You will have a 1/10 chance of getting an UV, so this will be 49000 crowns on average before getting any UV. This may seem unprofitable, and that using 20000 crowns on the variant machine may be a better choice… but until CE prices rise to 5k or more, variant tickets will have no advantage.
4. Sell UV’d items. For the other items, craft them into 3 star items. 3 star items tend to sell for good prices, allowing you to approximately break even on your costs. You also get a 1/10 UV chance here.
As a result, the actual cost before getting a UV on your brandish will be about 49000/2=24500, and this INCLUDES the chance of getting those awesome double or triple UVs.
Using the variant machine for ONE UV: 4900 + 20000=24900 crowns, which is quite a bit worse than ragecrafting.
Ragecrafting is fun, and is a great way to satisfy your urges to gamble for money. If you know how to do it, you’ll definitely get a profit. Have fun ragecrafting!

Gambling is still gambling :/
there's no guarantee on getting a UV in 10 crafts
