I know there a re lots of things out there that will break the game but if you think this does I have a solution for it so don't be afraid to point out it's flaws. (One at a time please).

First for all those knights out there who hate wasting those precious single pieces of mist energy. I have a solution.
If you turn energy converter on, you reach 100 mist energy and you gain one more you, even if not on the game, compress the 100 mist energy into 20 CE and this is good because you don't waste anything and you get LESS energy than you had before, Ce is also more valuable though as well so every one wins (although if you turn it off you might have more than 100 over time.).

Flaw 1 What if someone gets bored of spiral knights and leaves it running? Answer: The energy converter automatically turns itself if left on for 4 days without anyone going onto the profile. This means that the maximum amount of CE you can gain for any amount of time without going on is 80 CE (or 400 mist energy). Also if you do keep getting on some people could consider it overpowered because it gives you heaps of CE to trade with, but although possible that really is ridiculous as you only get 100 mist a day or 20 CE a day and in a year that only makes 7280 energy and to get that amount through normal play you only have to get 446 400 Cr of saying you get 2000 Cr on 100 mist every day (for most players it's usually more.) it would take 223 days of a year to get that amount of Cr as opposed to 365 days of a year that's about 1 third of a year saved not doing that. Also with that you would get alot more fun actually playing the game instead of saving onto shreds of CE you could spend in a few minutes.

Anyone else going to question my logic?

Please rate positive if you like it.

Thanks.

I can't play all the time,

I can't play all the time, but I do play daily. Oh wait, I hit 101 ME. Now it's 20 CE. Oh darn it. I wanted to play, but instead I ended up with 20 CE

Snaps for Oceanprince

@Fropps

You asked someone to find a fault with your idea, and someone did. If you're going to have a smarter-than-you'll-ever-be attitude, make sure you can't be proven wrong first :P

@ Oceanprince There is

@ Oceanprince
There is mention that the feature would be able to be turned off. Bingo. Your ME doesn't get converted.

Keep searching for faults in his idea because that wasn't one.

Challange accepted

One of those may work, specially #3:

1. Crafting with mist gives enough to buy a little more than 20CE.
2. If for some reason you're not in the game or not playing... why should we reward you energy?
It has to be something that rewards for playing, not for leaving.
3. I go visit some friends, create multiple accounts on their computers and leave them on since they won't play it.
20CE a day Multiplied by all the people I know with computes and no interest in SK = Infinite CE

Looking for fults in his idea

Looking for fults in his idea isnt that hard.

1. Make another account
2. Just log in every 4 days
3. ?????
4. Profit

Turning mist into ce is overpowered no matter from wich angle you see it.

my friend,

I had almost the exact same suggestion (dig deep through the forums)
and I have been beaten badly by the folks on this idea.

everyone here has pointed it clearly, i will not add anymore...
ME->CE conversion? NEVER a good idea...

No

If people want to cheat (like some noobs) they can use the INSTANT CE and Cr engine.

Besides from my experience on other games farming (done legally of course) is really boring. The point of playing spiral knights is to have fun.

Why this?

Cheating?

Actually, if you knew how this game worked, you would know better then to think using some tool to cheat works.

Maby I should post why cheating is impossible on this game...

No. You realize that ce is,

No. You realize that ce is, other than elevator passes, OOO's way of actually making money?

This idea is sort of useless. As long as you're at least t2 and have some understanding of the game, you can just buy trinkets/craft from mist. It takes 2 minutes a day and gives you at least a 50% conversion rate.

And I don't want people making 200 accounts in one day, then logging into them a year later and crashing the energy market.

admit defeat

Exactly, Why this?

With your system we can cheat with ease and play at the same time so it won't be 'boring farming'
And that instant engine must be a hoax (or PM links inmediatly... so i can 'test' it.... to report of course :p)

We propose enough arguments and all you have to say is
no, cheat is boring and people are already cheating
?
Think of a better comeback, even if that sentence was true, giving another way to cheat is not right.

No, sorry.

One person, three computers, 60 free CE a day. After four days, you log on and transfer it to one acount, you have almost 250 free CE. That breaks CE, sorry. OOO wants us to need CE so that we will buy it (It is their primary source of SK income), so they won't just put this in.
"This means that the maximum amount of CE you can gain for any amount of time without going on is 80 CE (or 400 mist energy)."
Not if you have multiple accounts.
" but although possible that really is ridiculous "
Hundreds of free CE every week will make the game pointless. It will also destroy the energy market.
"Anyone else going to question my logic?"
Logic questioning affirmative.

Sorry, but this will never work.

People have already stated

People have already stated that:
-This would be an open door for people to cheat.
-Even not cheating it will unbalance the game.
-OOO make dinero by making us buy ce, giving free ce is not good business.

Those three reasons are good enough reasons to make it a not convenient system. I know that the poster suggested this with the best intentions (to make energy mor accessible for people) but this isnt going to happen.

Why dont you post about some other things, like ways to get ce with actual gameplay. Until that youll keep receiving the same kind of comments.

^let me add...

if you have been playing months ago (a little over after release [yes been playing that early]), crafting costs were less than today..
1* = 10 energy
2* = 50 energy
3* = 100 energy
4* = 200 energy
5* = 400 energy
plus the crown cost

when OOO changed it to our current energy costs, they had a statement that made me proud of the creators.
It is to raise the rarity of items and to to allow the players to work harder for their keep.
(cant find it anymore, and that's not the exact statement)

fire at me that they want us to work harder, but the makers of the game just taught us the real value of good old work.

I believe many here have seen those uber-equipped noobs with no playing skill.
Your system produces MORE of those kind of people.

my last say.

CE is too valuable to just craft. The only ways players get CE w/o breaking the game are:

1) Buying with $$$
2) Buying with cr
3) Winning those lotteries
4) Another knight trading it to him/her

This idea would break the game, but slowly, but still.
