I have the following equiptment (armour, helm, shield) and wouod like to know
What to upgrade for a good FSC loadout:

Ash tail cap
Ash tail coat
Drake scale mail
Wyvern scale helm
Seraphic helm UV fire low
Scary skelly UV fire med

Wyvern scale shield
Wise owlite shield
Mighty defender

I know there's alot of 4 star things but I went crafting mad with my spare crowns/CE.

All contributions help, will consider all suggestions

Note, I generally don't die too much in FSC using full ash tail

From that list, your best bet

From that list, your best bet for suvival will be Ashtail to Vog for fire resist. The drake line has fire too but the piercing defense and beast bonus is almost useless there.
For similar reason, I'd also chose owlite shield.

Just out of interest, If I get a Levi.blade with high - v.high damage bonus, how many charge
Attacks will it take to kill a slag?

Wondering because my ascended with damage bonus med takes 4-5 which worries me ...

In my opinion fire resist is

In my opinion fire resist is probably the most useful thing you can have in FSC. Which damage resist you have doesn't seem to make much of a difference (it all hurts a lot / you really just don't want to get hit) - though if your going to have a piece without normal it should have shadow as a substitute (think divine veil) because slag walkers cause shadow and they'll be what you face the most. I usually go with two max fire pieces and a medium fire add from a trinket - the extra med will make you immune from the fire that slag walkers can cause on their normal attack so it's nice to have.
