Please listen to us just this once, before its too late.

DO NOT EVER PUT UP UV'D GEAR IN THE FEATURED AUCTION HOUSE!!

Of all the things that annoy one segment or another, most are overlookable. But if you start putting up your own max gear (or double maxes or triple maxes---envisioning that ctr vh asi vh sealed sword now) if you guys go down that path you are going to ACTUALLY LOSE a huge segment of your gamers. Just a fair warning. One that shouldn't be taken lightly.

Repeat: FOR CRADLE'S SAKES, DO NOT EVER START PUTTING UP UV'D GEAR IN TEH AUCTION HOUSE. reskins are fine, and even fun, and would be cool if we could go over to the accessory station and put on gear we already have!!!! if we so chose. but uv'd weapons will alienate a great majority of your players.

+1 if you agree.

Putting Uv'ed gear in feature

Putting Uv'ed gear in feature auction if it has ubber sxy uvs I don't see the problem with that since there is always a small chance you can roll that same uv item as well....and threatening three rings that players will leave this game isn't a strong way to scare them I mean weren't players suppose to boycott three rings for auto-binding, and shadow keys...yet same players who boycott still play *except like a given 100 or so if not less*

+1 to rommil

NEVER put UV'd gear as featured auctions.

Yes thug we can roll them. Exactly. ---> That is the only way they should ever enter the game. Just as CE should only enter through player purchases with $$, UV's should only enter through player crafting/rolling. End of story. Ubber sxy uvs are the exact uv's that should never be created by OOO. Not unless a GM plops down real $$ for CE and crafts/rolls them the legitimate way.

P.S. Please weigh in mods. Please let us know you would not do that to us!!

@Pawn I still don't see why

@Pawn

I still don't see why this is a bad idea at all having the dev's make weapons with given uv's which we can auction off instead of well a player making a profit off of it the vendors at the AH will be rolling in our money. People, already are willing to pay for example 30k ce for a DA with very high ctr which honestly in my own opinion is not really needed much, but add ASI very high and some other uv people might wasted 60k to 80k crowns for this "godly sword". Three Rings in reality creates every type of Uv in this game you roll and get a uv or you craft and get a uv its not the mighty Dogrock giving us the uv its Three Rings, and I am pretty sure the Gm's have their own test server where they can sit down with 1 billion crowns and 1 billion ce and just roll until they get that uv (also make an option so you only get very high or max uv's). So in reality a Dev can most likely create that item using there god like abilities it may not be "legit in our book", but easily is in their rules of being a Dev.

Regardless back on topic, I still don't see why players would be upset if they:

1. Don't want to waste x amount of crowns on an item with certain uv. Its more if they did an auction like this which is all speculation (they might of never even came up with this idea without you guys posting it), but if you want to have this item you pay for it and stay online when the auction is close to ending, and if you don't you find the guy who bought the item and troll him.

Are you jelly that you can't afford the god like item, or just scared it will ruin the uv market, or just don't want players to have better gear than you?

Well to soften my position

I would be ok with it if it was as overpriced as the Scissor Blade. If a max ctr/asi was 25 million crowns then fine.

For many people, such as myself, the "hunt" for an incredibly rare UV is the most enjoyable part of the game. There is a whole subculture (so to speak) of the game whose primary goal and enjoyment is collecting, making, acquiring ultra rare items. This would kill that on 2 fronts. It would no longer be, WOW someone crafted that.

I could go on paragraphs as to why i think it would be disastrous. Basically, it would take what minimal 'endgame' is left for many of us, and squashing it. It would destroy the random reinforcement model for UV's that make crafting/rolling compulsive yet enjoyable. It would say, 'hey your "hard" work is no longer unique. You can now BUY better results than countless hours of your "hard" work can ever create". It is a labor of love, but it the items/uv's so many of us have acquired is still a personal investment. It would be very bad manner to undermine that investment.

I would rather create the Godlike item than buy it. And i do enjoy having better gear than most people, and i crafted/rolled almost all of it myself. There is nothing wrong with that. It's an almost universal trait in people, the desire to be unique and to have desirable objects.

Perhaps this works then...

What if they only put the special uv's on special reskins of weapons, thereby marking them as the easy way out for people looking for a certain effect? This would probably increase the value of handcrafted or rolled uvs on the non-reskinned, just because they could only have been made that way by someone playing, rather than by the mods from Three Rings.

I highly doubt OOO would do this, since their action thus far points to expensive (and previously thought to be exclusive--but that's another argument) cosmetic items. Of course, their track record is quite short right now, but I'm sure they know that the players would rebel if something like that is introduced.

Though, I wonder...if they put up something with amazing UVs that is ridiculously expensive (like 50mil buyout or something) and auto-binds with no way to unbind, I personally would laugh at it rather than be annoyed. I wanna see if anyone actually shells out money like that. ;o

I have a 3UV Iceburst with Construct low, Undead low, and CTR low. All from crafting.

It would make epic weapons way too common, anger people who worked for their UVs, and further alienate the F2P players.

@ abaddon-asreal

that would still be them creating super UV'd weapons, and not a good idea in my opinion. I think a workable solution would be (lets use scissor blades as an example) let you buy scissors blade for 1.5m. or buy scissor blade costume for 1.3m. They scissors blade costume would only give you a costume you could then bind to your already UV'd Leviathon Blades. Its costs less, since you are NOT getting a 5* sword as you are with the scissor blade, but only a costume to put on a pre-existing sword. Yet, the difference is minimal enough that unless you have a great UV you want to keep, it'd be more financially responsible to pay the extra 200k and and get the copy taht gives you a 5* sword.
