I'm mainly a swordie decked out in Vog and I use my DA a lot for FSC and a Silent Nightblade to help my guild members out with JK. I find myself a frequent user of the charges so I was thinking of going for the Elite Sword Focus modules. But I was also considering having an Elite Slash Module to go with it. Would it make much difference if I only had one of each or should I just go ahead and get 2 Elite Sword Focuses?
Also is it worth upgrading to Acheron if the only place where I really use it is JK? Even I'm Tier 3 I find Gremlins and Jellies very easy to handle with just a Silent Nightblade.
Yup. I would go Elite Sword Focus Module and Elite Slash Model for your setup.
This would give you a nice well rounded setup for using any blade. After reaching full heat you will be swinging:
ASI Very High
CTR Very High
DMG Med
Combine that with a BTS and the DMG will be Very High too.
Really DA and Silent Nightblade are two totally different animals. The DA would benefit the most from CTR Max while the Night would get the most out of DMG Max (the Night is a fun little blinder with ASI Max too though). DPS-wise on the normal swings, heavy swords will see the most gains from ASI wile medium to fast swords will see the most DPS gains from DMG bonus. That said, I think getting as much as you can of everything is the way to go.
Personally, my setup is Vog set, Elite Sword Focus, Elite Slash and I use it to complement my Asc Cal, Voltedge, S. Nightblade, Dark Thorn Blade, and Avenger. I am happy with it, but I have CTR UV on my Asc Cal & Voltedge to put them at Ultra and Max respectively. When I do use heavy swords though, I like to switch out my Slash for an Elite Quick Strike Module, because I like ASI Max for 2 swingers. The downside about the Sealed lines is getting CTR UV is costly &/or time consuming. I'm also temped to get another Focus just for running DA, because I can't craft my way into UV on this.
