It would’ve really helped if attacking and picking up objects didn’t have to be the same button.
attacking/picking up objects
^ you never had a teammate leave a chunk of mineral in the middle of arena
Reviving also shouldn't be on the attack button. How many times have I been running around vana trying to dodge mace hits and slag guards to revive teammates, when I finally reach them and the game's like "revive? nope, how about you swing your sword instead".
Then there's those times when you're taking a swing at a slag walker and Mother Sprite interrupts you for a little chit-chat.
The Mother Sprite thing is a pain, but I've never really had the same trouble with pickups. NPC conversations should simply not activate if there are monsters in the area.
I'm liking Effrul's idea. Make it so that you can't pick up minerals/talk to NPCs when there are a bunch of enemies around.
In Vanaduke fight when you try to pick up water you can end up shooting your blitz needle instead. And when you fight with slags near the fountain you can occasionally pick up water. There should be an option to bind attack and picking up objects to different buttons.
The more I do FSC runs, the more I realize how bad it is to have all the actions bound to same button. It not just bad - it's horrible. I suggest to keep the "action" key for people who like to have everything on 1 button and add an option to bind "revive", "pick up" and "attack" actions to 3 different buttons. I'm sure many players will agree with me, please support this thread to make it happen.
Bein' someone who exclusively uses a mouse and the WASD keys, I'm gonna have to disagree with this. The attack button does a fine job as the multifunctional thing it is. Just stay away from pick-up-ables?
