Knights, we have a problem. Our new simulator for the depths of clockworks has gone crazy. It has taken some of our fellow knights prisoner and is acting in ways we have never seen before. Your mission is in two parts. One, find our missing fellow knights. Two, determine and fix the cause of this problem.

Ok, so people want to test out loadouts and have simulations of clockworks. I figured why not use it to make something interesting happen. What went wrong? I blame Gremlins. They tend to break stuff. But, who really knows? Maby, it's all just a test for us.
It would use the simulation aspect that people want (simulated monsters and such) but would also have "odd" things happening. Like Monsters lacking Textures (wireframe models) and maby more.
Is this a good idea or another one of my bad ones?
It could be a special dungeon in the simulator, and the boss could be a monster created by a gremilin hacker (this idea reminds me a lot of the hacker boss from saints row 3), or maybe a weird computer virus, and some of the trojans could deploy more "bugged" enemies (trojan horse), but in the overall your idea is great :)
