Hello, Strikerwolf here. I have a question on a decision I made. After saving up a large amount of energy for my next unknown craft I joined a party at a T3 terminal, out of my luck one of them had bought a shadow key and asked if we/I wanted to help him. This was impossible to resist so I decided to join in, my gear was an Ash Tail Coat level 9 and 1/2, an Ash Tail Cap level 5, a Wise Owlite Shield, Boltbrand, and a Silent Nightblade. As we got through the first 2 levels I realized I had only resed once for 20 energy! I still had 800 left, we got through the Unknown Passage and to the Sanctuary. I decided to craft the Snarbolax Coat, I figured it was kinda like I didn't even have to buy the recipe! Was this a good decision to craft the Snarbolax Coat?

Summary: I joined a group at T3 Terminal that was ready to play through the Rabid Snarbolax Lair. They asked if I wanted to come along and I said yes. I realized that I had not revived myself with energy and had 800 left. When we got to the Sanctuary I crafted a Snarbolax Coat. Was this a good decision?

Also, what should I craft next? and remember I can't go back in time to not craft the Coat, this is just out of curiosity!

Snarbolax Coat and Cap are

Snarbolax Coat and Cap are arguably the best of the Shadow Lair equipments. As well, you're entirely right in that it's like you didn't have to buy the recipe, so you saved money there.

All in all sounds like a splendid way to spend your CE.

yep, good decision

As Velcro said, the Snarbolax gear are arguably the best of the Shadow Lair armor sets. Vog Cub and Skolver might be even more useful, but you can craft those at any time. So you made good use of a rare opportunity.

Agreed

As far as I can tell, the Snarby set is basically the only of the Shadow Lair sets that actually delivers. It's the third piece of the wolver line, and slots in great with that Shadow defense. Whether you need that defense or not, you can always sell the set for a really nice profit, so it's a win win! Use or sell, I would say you came out way ahead on a really lucky deal!

The wolver line is a

The wolver line is a fantastic line of armor, all of them have their uses at some point or another.

It took a while, but I have all three sets and am very happy with all of them. Shadow defense is one of two things you'll encounter most in FSC (your number 1 location for endgame crown grinding) with the other being fire. I take a mixed vog cub/snarby setup down there as is, since one piece of vog cub already offers satisfactory fire resist and the zombies hurt me more than the shadow fire. Out of all pieces, I think the snarby coat also looks the best. You can always make Skolver/Vog cub later and maybe end up with all three sets, but Snarbolax is by far the hardest to make, which you managed to partially get out of the way already.

TL;DR You made a wise decision, no matter it being impulsive.
