Storm Driver is a good gun, yes, basically every elemental gun makes a good side-arm for swordmen.
The problem with your loadout is that it has only normal and elemental. Normal is fine for all-around, but you would probably benefit more by also having shadow/piercing weapons (unless you plan on only doing undead/construct stratas).
If you want to pick a little out of everything, the result is you are going to be below average on each. You can mix weapon types, but it is not possible to be effective in everything at the same time.
My advice would be : try to limit yourself at 2 weapon type at a time maximum (unless you need the third for a specific reason, example : Needle for Vana).
I agree with you Fradow. I plan to use Storm Driver as my "kiting" weapon. and I started to go on Vana runs regularly. :) Also i shiver ( a lot ) when fighting vana. :) think the gun is a good idea?
If you want a gun for Vanaduke, get a Blitz Needle. He is weak to piercing, not to elemental
If you need a gun for kitting in FSC and you have a DA, you are doing it wrong. You don't need anything else than a DA to clear the level before Vana (but a Shiver in the party is nice, and so is Blitz for the trojans. And a polaris if you want to do Puppy room).
Should i get ASI or CTR trinket for it?
dang. i keep imagining myself with a Storm driver. :) probably because i want to move while firing. :)
All five elemental guns let you move while firing. Some people are big fans of Storm Driver, but Polaris is more popular in FSC for some reason. Polaris has tons of knockback, which is handy for crowds of zombies. Polaris has a big area effect, which is useful for taking out wheel throwers from the side. Question: How does Storm Driver perform against the rocket puppy in FSC?
Most of FSC is zombies (which move slowly) and trojans (which must be attacked from behind). In large rooms, there is no reason to kite these. In small rooms, there is no space to kite. So kiting is not a big deal. Additionally, as Fradow said, your DA's knockback handles crowds of zombies just fine.
There is no doubt that elemental weapons (and a piercing gun) are great for FSC, and shadow is useless. But Fradow is right that for general Clockworks play you want some shadow and piercing weapons. Don't use just elemental.
my shivermist has CTR med fyi.. :)
