I would like to see combinable charge attacks. Like for example if 2 Divine Avanger people charged thier weapons and those charge attacks collided I would like to see a large explosion or shards of light splinter off in all directions damaging all enemies it touches. I would like to see attacks that can only be performed when 2 or more people work in unison to perform said attack and make it largely powerfull to reward the effort of doing so.

Or a Divine Avanger charge attack mixing with a Gran Fuast charge attack to create a gravity well like the Gravity bomb.

I would like to know what others think and also offer thier Co-op weapon ideas and how they would be performed.

Also if an ally has thier should up and an enemy attacks since you are standing almost on top of them or infront of them should your should protect said ally from the enemies attack? I would like it to work like this, so many times have I ran to an ally and put up my shield on them thinking I could protect them only to watch them die.

Also I would like to A new weapon type spears. Light on damage great on reach.

Just a few ideas main is weapon charge attack combos what does the rest the community think?

If you read the suggestions

If you read the suggestions forums you'll notice that only bad ideas get a lot of replies, if your idea isn't bad, no one is going to bother replying to your thread unless they absolutely love your idea.

+1!

It would definitely add in the cooperation aspect that I love seein' in Spiral Knights, but it might be a huge mother hubbard to program...

Still supportin' this.

Concerns

Too many possible combinations.
What would happen if 3/4 people charge at same time? wich combination has priority?

Spears

Shrink the spear, and have it fired by some electro-mechanical device. Perhaps turn it into an energy ball or the like rather than an actual spear.

There are 3 basic types of weapons. You have those that you attack with nice and close, those that attack at range, and those that are timed. What more do you need? A remote detonated bomb?

yeah an extending spear sounds fun!

I would also like a bow or crossbow type weapon I would even be happy with a spear gun.

I want a basball bat or club like weapon also a mace and a warhammer.

something to just break the typical sword and gun stuff but still falling under the Spiral Knight world rules.

I can see a few problems with co-op charge attacks, primarily planning issues; I don't know what the ratio of mic-users to text-only chat users is, but you simply cannot coordinate via text in a busy fight. Players could potentially coordinate by reading their teammates' behaviour, for instance noting their angle if they're charging and working out where their attack's going to go, but that comes with another issue - what if your well-intentioned combo attack messes up their planned approach? I dunno. Encouraging intra-party cooperation is a fine idea, but I don't know if this is how to go about it.

The friendly shielding is more intriguing, but potentially a bit overpowered. You get, say, two guys shielding, the other two shooting or bombing. You rotate shielders as their shields get close to breaking, so when one turns red, someone else steps in while the first dude's shield recharges. It could be really, really cool, but could also remove a lot of challenge, as the party would never really be in serious danger from enemy attacks. Perhaps, instead of directly shielding nearby teammates, overlapping shields could buff each other? That way, there'd be a palpable benefit from diving in to aid a beleaguered party member, but neither player would be able to attack whilst gaining this advantage, balancing it out some.

that works.

yeah I have no problem with all allies need to have shield up even if thiers is broken at the time in order to leech off of yours for protection.
