Hello everyone, I'm wondering if I should go for Skolver or Vog cub.
What is your opinion about these armor sets? I am thinking about going for skolver but I dunno really if I should.

Are you playing LD ? Are you

Are you playing LD ? Are you doing mainly FSC ? A bit of everything ?

Both are good, but there are situations where one is better than the other. Of course, if you search, you'll find all the answers you want, since its a common question.

Hm.

Skolver is the dominant armor, to me at least. It shouldn't matter what Armor you have if you can dodge properly, shield when needed to, and attack safely. And with Skolver, you get a really nice Damage Bonus. Against everything, too. Unlike Vog Cub, where you can get it's bonus from UV's. Besides that, ASI doesn't matter much unless you use a GF/DA.

Sure, there are those moments of agony where you're getting wrecked in FSC and a Vog Cub would be really nice. But like I said, depending on your skill, Skolver would be the dominant armor.

My two cents.

mixed first, then pure sets

My advice to new players is to construct a general-purpose armor set first, and then to build additional pieces for specialized situations. A swordsman, for example, could get Ash Tail Cap and Coat, and then upgrade one piece to Vog Cub, and then the other to Skolver, for a fairly general set (normal, piercing, elemental, fire, and freeze). Then he could get additional Vog Cub and Skolver pieces.

I'm wearing vog.

I chose Vog over skolver because:
1) I really don't get hit by wolvers too often. I mean, constucts are EVERYWHERE, and they all deal elemental damage, which my vog resists, and
I carry around a Shivermist.
2) Fire always struck me as more irritating than being frozen. When I'm frozen, it's as simple as putting up my shield and someone hitting me.
3) I use a Divine Avenger. A lot.
