Hello!,

I was crafting an item for a friend from scratch that is 3 tiers down a crafting tree, and it occurred to me that, while crafting such an item, it would be handy if i could have an option to aggregate all the costs of all 3 items and craft them simultaneously in one click instead of crafting one, then another, then another...
these aggregate costs would also be help full to view on one screen while buying materials, instead of flipping through 3 recipes to see if you've got everything.

not a huge suggestion and I'm sure some people will hate it, but just throwing it out there : )

The only real flaw with this

The only real flaw with this suggestion is that you usually have to have a level 5+ weapon (or piece of armor) in order to craft the higher star varieties. You also definitely have to at least have the weapon you're trying to "upgrade" too (even if it's only level 1).

And I'm not sure how difficult it would be to implement something like this into the game, as they would essentially have to make it so you didn't have to have a previous star weapon, and have one at the same time (if that makes sense). Like, you're crafting them simultaneously essentially, so you would technically have the item; but at the same time, those items would never hit your inventory because they'd automatically be placed in the upgrade (and again, there would be issues if it needed to be level 5+).

Otherwise, I think it is a great idea. If nothing else, they should allow you to view the three recipes together so you can see the total costs/mats for all of them (which I can't see as being too, too difficult to implement).

No, and here's why.

The reason I disagree with this is simple: Unique Variants.

Now, if you craft an item and get a unique variant, then you have the option to keep or remove the UV on upgrade (if I remember correctly, this costs additional energy to keep).
However, with this system you proposed, we're left with 3 options:
1) Your unique variant gets automatically overwritten by the automatic second craft.
2) Your unique variant is kept and you do not get charged the additional fee.
3) Your unique variant is kept and you do get charged the additional fee.

The problem with #1 is clear: you have 1/2 the chance at a UV.
The problem with #2 is clear: you get the UV on the upgraded item, free of charge.
The problem with #3 is clear: you sometimes get charged to keep a UV that you didn't want to be charged for.

It does not cost additional

It does not cost additional energy to keep a unique variant. I know this because I have crafted three different items with unique variants, and when I upgrade them it still only charges me the number it said on the recipe.

However, I personally didn't consider how unique variants would work out in a system like this. And I'm sure it would really fall under the whole "You need a Level 5+ item to upgrade it" problem. But if you're crafting for a friend, you're not really going to want to make them a UV. :P

And again, "If nothing else, they should allow you to view the three recipes together so you can see the total costs/mats for all of them (which I can't see as being too, too difficult to implement)." I seriously cannot see how this would be game breaking or a bad idea in any way at all.
