So I just found out something. About the elevator pass:

So I purchased mine when it came out. And after a few days of playing, the idea of buying another one came across my mind. I mean, why not? Heck I wouldn't mind more endless runs for a month!! :D

Anyways, I was saddened that the Elevator Pass did not show up in the purchase tab for me. So *le sigh* and I accept the fact that I am on mist....again ;-;

I decided to go on my alt, on a separate Steam account. I was thinking of doing a run since she will have a full 100mist. More game play for me, right? Oh and also, I wanted to go ahead and get the cheesy proto crest, why not?

What do I see in the News Link when I log on?

The Elevator Pass announcement.

I say to myself "Psh I'm sure that's just a glitch or something, it's over right? I mean, I can't purchase another on my main." I go to the Energy Depot, Click on the menu.....

I crapped bricks...

The Elevator Pass....

Is There...

For Purchase...

Now I'm thinking: Someone has noticed this too right? I can't be the only one. I know some people say it still shows up for them, but, On my main account it does not. But my alt it does!!

So what I am thinking is this: They just have it on there for the new people that try this game out. But what the heck?? ;-; OOO, you make meh sad! So um, I just might buy the pass on my alt! It'll be my X-mas present to meeeeeee <3 Well, I'll think about it first! XD But I just might do it!

Anyways, Comments/thoughts or whatever are gladly welcome here! Really, what do you peeps think about all this?

Same for me. I'd like to see

Same for me. I'd like to see it as an infinite thing, like a subscribing membership. This way the people that play a lot can play this much without just buying 5-6 paid accounts and going through them (seeing as you only need to pay 5 bucks for a decent amount of CE) instead. Most of the time, the average player only does t2 content, and t3 once and awhile. so gearing out multiple characters isn't really necessary. OOO would make more money by charging $6 a month to have no elevator costs than having people make multiple paid accounts. And would make players have a lot less accounts to remember.

Think of it this way. I can get a character to t2 in one day without buying anything with money. by doing this, I get one more mist tank, and because of the money I earn in the two runs (because normally you don't start at d9), I can then buy a 3* weapon. With this setup, I can now do a jelly king run or twins run quite easily (twins being easier because of lack of healing), and make more money selling the token items.

The pass is good for casual players that have too much time on their hands (such as college students coming home from break) or summer break. But then they can still play the game during the year without needing the pass. I know a lot of people that loved it (including myself) and I'd love to see it in the game as a permanent buy. This will also allow players who want to play, but because of CE prices are unable to purchase enough CE to play often. Just my experience.

Yeah I totally agree. And yes

Yeah I totally agree. And yes the CE prices did end up rising quite a bit. :o

My alt is geared for T2, so I can just run her constantly through T2 should I buy that pass. It would be interesting to see if SK(Spiral Knights) did end up with an optional month to month payment.

Who knows what will happen and what OOO is up to in that arena. It would definitely save allot of headaches and whatnot from multiple accounts like you said, made just to buy that pass. :/

I think the situation is that

I think the situation is that you could only get 1 per account. Strictly speaking, OOO mentioned that it was a limited time offer. Probably for under a month in order to prevent people from purchasing a second one as soon as the first month was over.

So they allowed 1 per account according to what I have heard. Good business idea, because this means people will be needing CE again soon.

ya I noticed the same I was

ya I noticed the same I was very sad, was taking a break from playing SWTOR and figured I would do some runs, but only got my mist, since i spent CE/crowns like a fool thinking I wouldn't need them for elevator again :(

I guess we got to wait and see if they will bring it back or not.

I hope it wont be back. This

I hope it wont be back. This thing only made the price of energy higher. And I even suspect the pay out of some levels were stealth patched because of this pass, but I can't tell for sure.

Anyway, I've two alts, and I can't even find the time to use 200 mist. It takes one hour to make a tier 2 run if u hurry. With only one alt u can make almost 3 complete runs, which takes 3 hours. So thats about 3 hours doing clockworks non stop, no break, then u probably gonna do some PVP, selling stuff, chatting, which also takes time. So thats about 3,5 hours of playing for only 200 mist. Not mentioning FSC run which takes even more time to complete. I tryed this week to use all of my 300 mist but it was eating all my evenings.

So I dunno what u guys doing with unlimited elevators pass, unless u're playing all daylong everyday of the month.

My thoughts on elevator

My thoughts on elevator pass:
1. On the day it became available: PERFECT! Purchased it as soon as I found it :)
2. On the day it expired: "where do I extend?..."
2.1. When I contacted support and got a reply "you can't": "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooo.............."
3. In 5 hours after I launched Skyrim, when it crashed: "what's elevator pass?"

As of this moment I'm waiting for news about its availability for re-purchase for same $6 price.

When it first came out I

When it first came out I thought it was insanely cheap. If you run the math, it comes out to running more than 8 floors a day to be more valuable than buying CE directly. But that's including a way to monetize your mist, which is a lot harder than I was expecting. So it's really something like 15-16 floors a day. Now I run maybe two FSCs and a jelly a day, and that's only 14 floors, and some days I don't even log on.

But the flexibility it gives is amazing. I LOVE being able to run past enemies, join my friends near the ends of depths, run regular clockworks without having to worry about my losses. And with the lack of mist monetization, revives off mist are a lot less guilt-inducing.

Now that my pass has run out, I miss it a lot. If they give us the option to buy it again for $6 I will definitely continue to buy it, even though I don't necessarily get my money's worth out of it. If they raise the price, though, I'm going to balk and have to consider what it's worth to me. And if the option is gone entirely, I will be very sad.

Keep the Pass, Please!

I do want the pass to continue, for many of the reasons stated above. I love it.

I just wish that it wouldn't still show up on the main page (in the rotating pictures part)....

My point of view

I was losing interest in spiral knights, until I bought the pass-- It allowed me to get me new weapons with a limited CE-loss. It changed my gameplay, of course, and made me play more. I really love the pass, not only you can play more, but also whenever you want, you will totally forget about the mist recharge. Too bad it will finish on January the second.. I love my pass..

I too had almost lost

I too had almost lost interest in this game and kept playing each day less and less but when the elevator pass came out I suddenly became almost a no-lifer - started playing so much that I never thought I would. On boring days when I had nothing to do or the weather outside was so bad that I would not feel like going somewhere, I would play SK all day long. This elevator pass got me more addicted and I didn't really think that I could get so addicted to a game that I've been playing for over 2 months (now it's the 4th SK gaming month for me and I don't tend to play games more than a month). Elevator pass also made my gaming experience here better - I didn't need to worry about joining my friends in the middle or even at the end of the depth, thus wasting energy. I could also spend more energy on reviving instead of just leaving the depth if I went solo in FSC and died more that a couple times, but most of all - I could spend ME on reviving in Lockdown or add some energy to the bribing of Crogmo king or just adding my friend in my tab for a couple depths.
Overall, I am willing to spend another 6 bucks for an elevator pass if it comes out again on Monday.
