I'm kinda ticked off right now. I just spent 145,000 crowns on a love puppy hat before realizing it expires, and now in just under a month I lose what I just payed 145k crowns for. And this a a feature auction. I'm really ticked right now. There was no forewarning it expired, so now i basically just lost 2000 CE worth of crowns. Either they need to make it not expire or make it give a warning and refund people like me who have basically been scammed by it.
Really OOO?
they actually did specify that it expired. It's written below the description.
"There was no forewarning it expired, so now i basically just lost 2000 CE worth of crowns."
The day It came out everyone was talking about how they expired. You're a bit late on the topic.
Not to mention it says it RIGHT IN THE TOOLTIP of the costume. You didn't lose your money, you used it through payment and by doing so you agreed that whatever happened to it before has now been passed to you. It was set to expire, there were many warnings. You just didn't see them.
It's not OOO's fault, it's your own stupid foolish fault.
You might want to actually inspect it first..
If you don't do that, you deserved to lose 145K.
I ddin't read the description because what normal person reads the description of every item he/she buys?
just went ingame (i didn't know eighter it expires) and it does say it expires in the AH when you hover over it with you mouse (but it could be made a bit more clear that it does expire tough)
"what normal person reads the description of every item he/she buys?"
So when signing a contract that would allow you to buy something for thousands of dollars in real life, you're saying we should skip the fine print that says we owe the seller 1000 per day and if its late you owe 100 more for each minute the payment is late?
Ok, Ok, I get your point, I'm stupid. Anyways, on the wiki it says it's supposed to cost 55,000 not 145,000. Is that a mistake in-game or a mistake on the wiki?
It did say it would expire. Almost everyone knew that, which is why nobody bought it. Also, you did not get scammed. Paying a high initial price on something that is later reduced commonly happens to early adopters. The only example I can think of for this is the 3DS price dropped from somewhere above $200 to $160. The people who got first, the early adopters, would be at a loss, since they bought the item as soon as it was released. (if nintendo didnt offer compensation).
@Xatona and no, you are not stupid. You are just one of the people who buy items when they come out, which only wealthy people can do. The downside is that the price can only be reduced by the auctioneer, meaning whoever purchased the item as soon as it was released would lose money. I am sure that the first poor soul who bought a scissorblades is feeling the same way you are, since they now are being auctioned at about 1/3 - 1/5 of that cost.
Your still ignoring my point that ingame price and the price on the wiki are two different things.
"on the wiki it says it's supposed to cost 55,000 not 145,000"
Wiki can get outdated fast when dealing with market values. Its better to research your prices better than using the wiki.
BTW the ingame price means the price that it WILL be sold at. Wiki is for what it SHOULD or HAS been sold at. Basically, Real time gameplay > Webpage that takes a day to update.
Oh yeah, I am pretty sure the wiki is updated last. You will find some of the information wrong. There is a lot to keep track of there. (Wiki can be wrong for sure- just check the GF speed bars I don't even know the last time the wiki as updated in terms of weapons.)
First, the wiki is updated by players, take everything with a grain of salt. Wikis trade off far more information for somewhat less reliability.
Second, I tend to think that there should be a better warning about something being temporary than a just note stuck in the description. There are far more descriptions in this game that have no value other than a joke or a cute sentence than there are items that are temporary. OOO flags things that have UVs and Accessories attached, they should flag the equally important property of being temporary.
If it makes you feel any better, I just threw away 300kcr by absentmindedly clicking "bid" rather than "preview". *shrug*. I probably won't ever use it, but then, i'm not using my crowns either.
What normal person reads the description of every item he/she buys?
Me, for one :D
No seriously, I do. I check the details on all of my equipement before considering it's purchase. A personal habit, but I don't mind. /shrug.
"What normal person reads the description of every item he/she buys?"
A smart one >.>
Does that mean I am not normal?
I mean I know I'm unique.....XD
The one and only, Guardianknight.
I dunno.
Still insane and weird, Psychodestroyer.
@Algol-Sixty 300k crowns? ouch! you could have made a 5* item or gotten some insane UV with that. Sounds like poxide change judging by the way you talk about it. lol
Ok thread completed. Send this out!
it's confirmed.
I'm abnormal.
I'm weird.
Crazy even.
Good day sir. Good day. :D
On top of that, according to the wiki, it's only supposed to be 55k crowns!
