Ok, I usually solo in ANY run I do, but I DO one of my friends sometimes if I want to, and if I need help.

Anyway, I've soloed almost always ever since I started. But I wonder: Am I missing out on anything by going solo?

What I mean is things like Rare monsters and Item Drops.

I've only ever seen ONE Lovepuppy in my ENTIRE SK 'life', and it was in a party, which some guy quickly killed, before realizing what he had done.

I was in T2, and The ONLY equipment drop I got was a Force buckler. I found two other, better things, none of which went to me, but that was when I was in a Party with other people that I started.

Assuming that I CAN find rare monsters if I solo, a Lovepuppy still won't drop anything if I'm solo, right?

'Cuz, I SERIOUSLY feel left out :/

From a purely profit standpoint, it's always better to solo. Puppies will still drop lockets while solo, they just won't if you've split from a party after they've spawned. Big difference. The only reasons you'd go as a group is to:

Have people rez you if you die so ya don't need to spend energy
Help with things you cannot solo at your skill level
Steal other people's heat
Have some company
Improve your skills by carrying crap teams
Slack off and be the load

Else, stick with solo. I do loves the monies too. I recommend the T3 gremlin/beast gate.

You miss...

...the pleasure you get when everyone in the party knows what they're doing, and clear the rooms quickly and effectively with minimal health losses.

Like when you clear a 12 polyp wave in a depth 27 arena without getting hit at all because everyone in the party is properly skilled and geared. Fun times.

I like to do both. On a material point of view, you gain by being solo.
But if you do multiple run in a day, having a good group increase productivity and you clear level/boss much faster, there fore making more crown in the long run.

As far as drop goes, I'm pretty sure you don't miss out on anything.

And one more thing

Have people rez you if you die so ya don't need to spend energy
Help with things you cannot solo at your skill level
Steal other people's heat
Have some company
Improve your skills by carrying **** teams
Slack off and be the load

And being able to carry an additional mineral.

I've got item drops both in

I've got item drops both in teams and solo, I don't think there's any difference there. Also seen rare monsters in both cases.

Well, I would tend to say that if you get a "12 polyp wave", someone didn't know enough about wave management.

.

That said, yeah, if everyone in a party has a clue, things go well. Unfortunately, the only way to insure that is to go solo. :-<

In a lot of situations, the strength of a party is measured by its worst member. It takes just one idiot to go off and wake up all the gun puppies, or kill the last of a wave before the current set of monsters is under control, or press a button to release more monsters, or run around eating all the health pills, or ....

K thanks

Ikr? I got invited to FSC yesterday when I was only T2, cuz a friend wanted me there. Lift before Vana too.

The PL was unsure about how far he could rely on us, when another friend of my friend pops up and uses like 80% of the health caps beside the lift that he dropped to fill his HP bar after picking up a 25 vitapod.

We were all kicked instantly.

The IDIOT.

Wasted 10 mist. :/ got absolutely NOTHING from that, not even 1 cr.

Thanks for the info guys. I just seem to be missing a lot of things. Rare monsters and Item drops namely. In my last run, I found a Drake scale mail but it went to a friend I invited for help :/

I cry.

And I haven't seen a rare monster since that lovepuppy. Not even an Impostocube.

I weep.

:/

I know. Apparently we all thought that 12 polyps would be more manageable than trying to manage a couple of Alphas while dodging projectiles while trying to kill the polyps off. Unfortunately, both Alpha waves were identical so we triggered the 8 polyp spawn first. :/
Anyway, it went so well, it doesn't matter. :D
