What i mean with this is that does monsters have increased resistance, for example, does wolvers have increased freeze resist, like same thing with wolver line (to skolver)? And also, this is my first post :D
Monster resistances
Not true you can shock quicksilvers and set oilers on fire.
Yes, but it MAKES THEM STRONGER.
You can't damage a monster with its own status, that's what I meant to say.
"you can't freeze any ice-themed monster"
Saw plenty times the mist from a Ice Jelly Cube freeze freeze-themed monster (even another Ice Jelly Cube).
Freeze-themed enemies are immune to and may inflict freeze status.
quoted from wiki
Undead (aside from Howlitzers) are unaffected by Curse. Lumbers also take no damage from Curse
Construct are unaffected by Sleep.
Status-aligned mobs are unaffected by the status they are aligned to. Exception: Ice Cube-haze has the ability to freeze mobs, regardless of their status alignment.
Gremlins are said to be strong against Shock.
Quicksilvers heal and gain temporary invincibility when Shocked, and deal damage to Knights and monsters alike during this period.
Oilers heal and are powered up by Fire and gain additional defence against elemental damage and the ability to put oil on fire.
I have noticed, wolvers are strong against Shock (or that's what the damage colors claim). When lit with Ash, the initial blast is elemental and shows grey, but the fire ticks show neutral blue. When fried with VT, both the blast and ticks show grey numbers.
Wolvers are probably just taking less damage from Shock because Shock deals elemental damage. That's why you can block the damage ticks from Shock. Then again, I don't know how wolvers (or gremlins, for that matter) are affected by the paralyzing effects of Shock compared to everything else, though.
I can independently confirm that Ice Cube freeze radii have special properties and are able to freeze not only freeze-proof mobs (in this case a Polar Polyp) but also players who are otherwise highly resistant to freeze auras.
This is why I only mentioned Gremlins, and not Beasts because I know for a fact that Shock is a very useful status against Wolvers, particularly Alpha Wolvers. When shocked they are still able to utilize their combo, but they'll stay stationary instead of leaping towards you. It also disrupts their movements a whole lot.
Gremlins don't suffer a lot from Shock aside from the Thwacker's dash.
Undead have a natural resistance to curse.
Constructs have a natural resistance to sleep.
Status-themed versions of monsters have resistances to their own theme: ex. you can't freeze any ice-themed monster or burn any fire-themed monster.
