Hey there everyone, I'm planning to get a max speed Umbra Driver!
Assuming full Nameless gear, what UV would I need to get max speed?
Umbra Speed
I would of gone with the Swiftstrike Buckler, but that works too.
Wait a second, is a Charge time UV for regular charging? As in, reloading between shots? Or merely for charge attacks?
Because if it turns out that Attack Speed only increases how fast your bullet travels, I will have been a complete noob.
Charge reduction refers to charge attacks. Attack speed is more like reducing time between shots and bullet speed. Nothing to do with reloading.
ASI on the Umbra isn't useless, but you'd be better off with CTR. One reason for that is because ASI doesn't affect reloading speed. You can exploit this by firing a single shot and then waiting for your arm to go down, and then shooting again, skipping the reload. But it's only one bullet at a time (as opposed to three-shot guns where you can shoot two at a time doing this), so the gains from doing this aren't all that great.
The second reason is because the Umbra is a gun that's best used for its charge shot which gets nice bounces. Regular firing gives somewhat lackluster damage as compared to other weapons.
UVs go up to +6 (Low=1, Med=2, High=3, VHigh=4, Ultra=5, Max=6). Each Nameless piece is +2, so from full Nameless you get +4 ASI. To get the other 2 ASI, you could get an Umbra with Medium+ ASI, you could equip an Elite Quick Draw Module, or equip a Swiftstrike Buckler.
I would advise doing none of the above and focusing on damage/CTR if possible, but there's the answer to your question.
Hey, veteran gunslinger here.
While wearing full nameless you get + VH attack speed, or + 4 low ASI.
You would need a medium ASI UV (+ 2 low ASI) to get maximum speed (+ 6 low ASI)
But i really suggest that you get a medium or higher CTR UV (charge time reduction).
You dont really need higher then VH ASI, and umbra's charge attack is extremely powerful :)
