Premium service for credit card holders only, what gives?

I thought that currency was invented to create a universal and equivalent means to represent value, so why is it that $2 on mobile pay will get me 612 Ce, while if I have a credit card to use I can get adventure pack which is OOH I WOULD SAY 3-4x the value AT THE VERY LEAST.
I realize it is probably good marketing strat for a company to train people to use credit cards rather than other more easily depleted sources of MONEY, but the gap in disparity of what you can buy with the same UNITED STATES DOLLARS using different means is starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth.
So in closing I ask you OOO, in a world where cash is king, what gives you the right to set DIFFERENT values on our digital dollars?

The issue is not US vs XXX currency, the issue *is* discriminating a currency of the same type and value based on source.
With the amount of identity theft that goes on to me as a person its worth it to leave my credit card out of my gaming addiction. It just irks me some that there are about 5-6 different payment methods listed and ofc, all the deals that come and go can only be had by one.

I'm saying don't complain about the fairly reasonable kind of discrimination that has at least some kind of explanation, when there's far worse and more unfair kinds out there. It's your personal choice to not use credit cards, and it sucks that you lose out for it; but there's worse out there. Paying twice as much as other countries for example, is not a choice anyone makes.

*Paying twice as much as other countries for example, is not a choice anyone makes*
Sure it is, the people forceing you to make it are just in different positions, as whatever youre talking about paying for, is a choice.
Point taken though, well mostly. ^_^

Maby they should make the pass that comes with the explorer pack bind on use!
OOOh now theres an idea....
Mobile payments typically incur higher fees than credit cards, Paypal, and the like. The flip side of the argument, if they were to provide the same CE regardless of payment method, is why should people using non-mobile methods subsidize the higher fees of the mobile users?

Mobile is a *lot* more expensive for the company to get your funds - like half of it is just transaction fees. Credit cards on the other hand are under 5%. I'm not surprised that you can't use this offer, but it was probably an oversight or simply not enough people paying through mobile. They could've set up the same pack at $4.50 for mobiles
Pretty much every single company that deals with mobile payments charges you way more btw. There's nothing equal about it

Purchase a visa gift card next time you go get petrol/gas/whatever. Use that card to pay for your SK stuff. The world works on plastic, learn to embrace it. Kids can get it too.
ALso, Elevator passes bind automatically. It's not even a tradeable item, as far as I can tell. You just get it...and there it is.

Generally there's no excuse for £=$ payments other than sheer stupidity or lack of care on the part of the company; spotify, for example, was released in US with more available tracks than the EU version had, and wound up at half the price for them. That is not a choice at all on part of the consumer. Paying with your mobile when you're provided with several options is entirely yours.
Ofc, as Tengu said, there's plenty of scam-free temporary gift credit cards or prepaid cards out there (some designed specifically for gaming) for people such as yourself.
And yes, the elevator pass automatically activates and binds. It is technically an "item" listed in steam inventory and your usable section of your inventory, but that's only to tell you the expiry date really.

Regardless of the X- credit transferral system cost more to use issue, it would be nice if the same packages were available at a compesated higher price. Im sure it would be a win+win for OOO and players alike.
thats all.

If this has been covered yet, but you don't have to have a Credit card for these deals. I play through steam, and use a Paypal account to transfer funds to my steam wallet. I just use my bank account to put money on paypal, I do not have a credit card or use one in this transaction at all. There are other options.

Cash is King, but then the internet got invented so its not so good anymore.
Amex is King
Visa is Queen
Mastercard is the prince

I think this has been posted elsewhere, but that extra fee is not going to OOO. That is the money being taken by your phone carrier for the ability to transfer those funds. OOO is receiving the exact same amount of cash from you as if you payed via CC.

What Dogrock said. That extra money is a fee your service charges.

No credit card required, no interest accrued by the credit card, and easy to use. Where is the problem? is it not available where you live?

yay Eurydice! Someone link this thread to the wiki or something.
Also, have you heard the Lyre of Orpheus from Nick Cave? He doesn't paint you in a particularly lovely light.
"sack of bowling balls".
Not many places accept much for mobile trading, that's just something you have to accept when it comes to the MMO world.
Saying that, don't complain about "the same US dollar" when you have games that compare £=$ without taking currency difference into effect.
