Chapter 1
Ambush

A sudden flow of energy swept through me as I sat up to have a skolver in my face. I slashed at it then suddenly remembered what was happening. My friend Toytek yelled "Shadow...SHADOW!" I responded by blinking several times. I ran a diagnostics and saw that I had a quarter of the usual hearts. Toytek helped me up as I covered his back "Man that Lumber hit you hard" he said "That's gonna hurt in the morning" I replied. We were in a arena the boss level in fact, I flinched as a bullet flew past me "Watch it" I yelled at Purple-Dragon. "Sorry" she Yelled back then suddenly she yelled "Toytek! watch out!" as the same lumber that hit me swung at Toytek. When the lumber began to spasm and collapsed "Thanks Pudles" Toytek said. "The gates open" I said excitedly "lets go" we were just about to get the rewards when a battalion of gremlins appeared in front of us! we were in no shape to fight them so we turned around to see another battalion of gremlins!. Randomly a hatch in the wall opened and a gremlin looked out "Oh no" I thought when it motioned us in. We were desperate to get away so we chanced it and entered, it started to scamper away hen it stopped and motioned us to follow. we walked three feet inside when the door boomed behind us.
