Usually there is not many ppl in T1 LD, i can wait for hour to play but mostly i fail on both US and EU server.
After recent steam achievment, many ppl made accs just for LD T1 to get achievment.
In response some T2, T3 players equiped newbharvest gear and jumped into T1 LD. The later it was the more of them joined.
Sure, pwning afk newbs is not fun BUT when a newb harvester meets newb harvester its fun. I made yesterday many good games when actually instead of steam newbs there were several newb harvesters in both team.
Those matches were WAY better than any other T3 matches. In those T1 LD (where teams were full of good players, not steam newbs, with T1 eq) what really mattered was REAL SKILL, not that who has better uv, faster pierce blade or less lags. In those matches it took several hits to kill someone so you actually could respond and use evade, attack skills where in T3 its what? Its just show of which blade is faster, killing and being killed in one/two hit is limiting use of real LD fight skills to minimum.
To sum up. Those T1 LD matches were best of all (when you fought with multiple real players, not steam newbs) where skill really mattered, in skirmishes it took multiple hits, evades to kill someone not which forced you to use tactic, watch for hp not just berserk run on enemy with "oh i have best asi uv ill just 2-stab him to death".

You probably have some T2/T3 loudouts. Note that in order to enter T1 Lockdown not only you can't have item above first rank equipped but also you may not have any T2/T3 loudouts mark as PvP. Just click swords icon on all your T2/T3 loudouts (swords icon should shift into blue, uncrossed swords).

Not fun at all.
When a noob harvester meets a noob harvester it doesnt work out good. You basically cant play striker since you will get snowballed in and recon and guardian battles take soooo loooonnngggg. Plus the noob swarm tactics: 3 players gang up on one player and basically box you in so you cant attack since they are all attacking you at once.

The funny thing is that due to the mechanics of how lockdown matches are formed, the noob harvesters tended to accrete into the same games. They'd all hit "play again" and get dumped into the same match, while the noobs would go off to play Dungeons of Dredmor or whatever was next on their list, and so the game would slowly but surely fill up with more and more noob harvesters.
It got to the point where some of the matches I were in were 9-10 noob harvesters and maybe 2-3 noobs. Of course, it kinda sucked when the 2-3 noobs were on my team and quit early in the match, leaving me to spend almost the entire match trying to chip my way through a single guardian shield with my heavy hatchet...
I tried going proto, but it said I was t2! Even with t1 stats.
