Better use the pass to farm
Better use the pass to farm royal jelly or other T3 levels. It's faster and easier at least with your gear and skills. It may give you more crowns per time, wich you would use to upgrade your stuff and make future FSC runs easier.

I'm just saying in the time it can take to finish one FSC, you can do 3 jelly runs. And we can't guarantee a victory over Vanaduke. You can just try to get enough money to directly buy a fov, or upgrade your armor so you can do this task more easily in the future.

You're probably better off
You're probably better off just joining randoms on the vana gate and hoping they don't mind carrying your charred corpse through the levels. You'll probably end up with teams that abandon you or kick you now and then, but there's only a few places where that's a death sentence for low-spec knights, and since you have the pass, and assumably cleared T2 on the gate, you lose nothing by pressing on until you die, and then heading up and trying again.
Just try to avoid doing stupid things like calibur-flinging zombies into team mates, or needlessly waking up the rocket puppy, or making the trolljans spin around in circles when they're aggro on you and your team is trying to unload blitz charges into their butts, or breaking the ice on vana, getting aggro, and making him mace hit over and over filling the whole throne room with debris and shadow fire.
Most importantly, don't whine when you're sitting on the floor dead and haven't revved you yet. Drop a health capsule off your dungeon belt and wait patiently for one of your teamies to come by during a safe moment in the fight to pick it up and rev you.

why get a Fang of Vog even?
If you don't use the charge attack, a Fang of Vog is worse than a Combuster/Voltedge/Glacius, right? If you do use the charge attack, which is truly awesome, then you set yourself on fire.
Babyblaze, you're going to need armor/trinkets with some strong fire resistance, to make Fang of Vog useful. Maybe you should set your sights on some other, more practical equipment first? Fang of Vog was my eighth 5-star sword, and my third 5-star elemental sword. It's unusual for someone in your position to seek it with high priority. But it's your choice of course. :)
Edit: Which one is (supposedly) called a Cleaver: an Ascended Calibur or a Cold Iron Carver?

bopp > maybe ill do that...now that your tellingm e how much it will need to fight the fire effect..and its kinda weak without the charge...i may just do jelly king now or maybe get the shield....and i have cold iron carver :P maybe i should fix that

Getting the Crust of Almire
Getting the Crust of Almire should generally be first on anyone's list of duke rewards. I'm a bit weird in that I went for the ancient plate first, but I had other reasons for that.
Much like the Faust makes farming RJ that much easier, so the Crust of Almire does for Vana (though, in all honesty, the owlite line is more than sufficient, much like the Nightblade for RJ).
