Spiral Knights - How do Knights get sustenance to travel the clockworks, and fight?

Just thought of it.

They need iron, and protein, and carbs, and vitamin D, and Potassium, and all that other stuff. Right?

Otherwise, where do they get the energy to do all this fighting?
