Hi, Etendue here. I was thinking, what if there was a more accessible way for players to exchange their spiral knights items into the games they want? Wouldn't that make for a more convenient service than anything we currently have? Right now, most Steam Game traders either offer a limited range of games, or offer a fixed CE exchange rate for games in the store. I'm going to be different, and will take in Materials and Unique Variant (UV) gear in the place of CE (if you wish). I'll even let you buy back your gear if you want it back later. I mean, why should Knights who want steam games have to liquidate their items into CE in order to buy them? How wasteful is that?

So... here is my list of accepted exchange items

Crystal Energy (CE): 550 CE to $1 -----as Rhip said, this is one of the cheapest rates around.

Crowns: 44000 Crowns to $1

Materials:
Bushy Tails
Beast Scales
Dark Shards
Green Shards
Blue Shards
Monster Bones
Sharp Fangs
Light Shards

UV Gear:
This will be evaluated on an individual basis. As much as I love them, Sleep UV（and certain other UVs）are very difficult to sell, so I will not be accepting those.
However, because of difficulties associated with selling off UV’d items, I will only be accepting these approximately 15% (or higher) below market price, assuming that I can price your gear (hot edge asi vhigh? Bring it on!)

Buyback Policy:
1. I will keep your items safe for a period of exactly 1 week, after which time your items may be in my possession, but might have been sold.
2. The price will be 10% greater than the price you sold it to me for.
3. If I do not log in on the day your item reaches the end of the protection time, the protection time will be increased by 1 day.

That's considerably worse than a lot of deals which have already been delivered to me through steam.

Whoever is considering doing this, I'd advise you to ask around in trade - there are often people who can offer a rate better than this.

Also, bring your UVs to me as well. I might just give you a better price :) .

Perhaps, I based mine directly off Rhips. I find /trade people to be generally unreliable and painful to track down. They definitely won't offer mat/UV trading. Also, Rhip seems to be selling quite a bit at this price. I'm guessing you invaded my thread after I told you how bad the barbarous thorn shield was? :3

The UVs are not meant to make me too much of a profit. They're meant to be for convenience (yes, I'm expecting people to buy back their gear), and the lowered buy in price is just there to make sure I don't die from having UV'd gear I can't sell off. Heatsurge, will you keep the items for a minimum of 7 days, and sell them back to the owners at a fair price? Obviously not. That was the highlight of the UV service. >.>

However, with build-in systems like steam trade, there's absolutely no way to be scammed - it's pretty clear what you're getting and what you're giving for it. So I don't really see a reason for a "service" per se, when some others have performed what you're doing for me, for a cheaper price.

The UVs are not meant to make you profit? I find that hard to believe - pretty much impossible. The very reason you're trading and that this thread exists in a "bazaar" section is for you to make a profit. That's what a trader does. Whoever believes otherwise is a fool.

I really don't see what the value is in offering someone to buy their gear only to have the option of buying it back? If they sold it, why would they ever want it back? What's the point?

Anyway, I really don't see why people should not look elsewhere for higher dollar prices for their CE, and higher payouts for their UVs if they want to. There's an entire market out there looking for items and UVs of all kinds.

By the way, now that I've explained why your trading scheme is worth less (literally), will you re-set your prices?

Also, it's not worthless, because it's like a 2.0 carbon copy of many successful trading schemes. It's better in convenient ways, and those schemes quite literally have tens of thousands of CE flowing through them every day. tl;dr the rest of your post, as it's probably ranting about ridiculous things that no reasonable person should pay attention to. Wait, I just read the rest of your post. I was right!

I haven't heard a single of your "satisfied customers," and my encounters with you so far have been extremely negative, so speaking from personal experience I wouldn't trust you with anything at all. I can only hope others have a better experience, no that that's saying much.

Again, I don't see the point of your "services" - especially the "buy it back within a week" and I think your CE to dollar ratio is understated, considering you buy 750 CE with $2.50 in the game. Even at 10000/$50, in my opinion it's not competitive at all.

I'm just putting things into perspective for you here.

You never mentioned anything about re-setting those prices. How about it?

The thing is, I'm under no pressure to lower prices. At all (why would I?). All of my competition are operating at 550 or even worse rates (some over 600-700), at least on the forums. I posted this thread for 10 minutes, and 4 people ask me to purchase games for them. Alas, I was not able to as a side effect of stupid internet connections, but the demand AT THIS PRICE LEVEL is there. Also, the UV thing is a trust trade, essentially. You are under no obligation to do it. It's just there if you don't feel like selling off your UV gear at stupid prices just to buy something.

In case you didn't know, my ingame items are worth well over a couple hundred thousand CE. I wander around in the original rose sets, and those ALONE are worth well over 100k CE total. Would I risk a ban scamming you off some UV'd gear? It wouldn't even make sense if it was a double max, which you probably would want to keep out of trust trades anyway.

Uh-huh. Essentially, I'm operating at the market price, it's your choice to purchase or not. Really! I'm not going to stalk you ingame and whisper "buyyyy mmmyyyyy gamessssssss alrighttttt?????" As I look at you from the shadows. Really! It's your choice.

To sum it up: The only point of discussion here is the pricing and the UV/Materials service. The first one is giving me enough demand to constantly empty my quota for game sales, and the second is your choice. Therefore, I will not discuss them. This is therefore not a discussion.
