Put up a sticky advising people to use the search bar.

Something like

Search bar
To prevent clutter of threads all based on the same topic, please use the search function to search for threads related to your question/suggestion/topic.

Or something. New people always have to be told about it whenever they make a new thread on something that was been said countless times before.

Pets
Forum Avatars
Guildhall customization

Stuff like that.

I'm sure there are many people tired of seeing multiple threads all saying the exact same thing.

Thoughts?

Alternative

I think it would serve to organize things better if they divided a suggestion section into several more specific forums. For example, right now "suggestions" is a forum in the "general" section. It would likely be easier to see similar topics it there was a "suggestion" section and then guild/social, equipment, clockworks, interface, coliseum, market, and miscellaneous forums, just to name a few.

This would be more feasible

This would be more feasible if you could actually search within a specific thread, forum, or section.
As in, it's difficult searching for a specific guild if your search mostly pulls up results from the suggestions forum.

In any other setting, I would support this, but all the people who do the reposting of existing suggestion threads are probably the same people who don't read. (I mean, think about it; if they did, then they'd already have found the existing thread!)
