I would like to see spears, maces, daggers, and anything new from swords, bombs and guns. A variety of weapons would be great. Probably a 2 handed sword, that does ALOT of damage, and you can't use your shield? There would be more tactics and strategies to play the game. It would also be a new way to kill monsters in the Clockworks.
Weapon Suggestions
Haha yeah, I tried those weapons. Wouldn't it be cool if there were spears in the game? It's like in that movie 300, where they block, thrust, block, thrust. It would be cool to see the charge for the spear. Like it's 3 fast thrusts. OMG what if they added rapiers?

There are no two handed weapons, and even then weapons in the game are in one of 3 categories, most weapons being for a different purpose, as most are not capable of being used for any situation.
There are fast swords, to slow hitting swords, to charge combos, and ranged attacks with them.
Weapons are pretty unique.
Two handed weapons do not exist in this game, and I think it is for the purpose of that it wouldn't work well on the player, unless they add a dodge function in replace of the shield, and even then it only gets more complicated.
There are a couple of Swords that are kind of different.. like the shovel and pickaxe early on.. but yeah I get what you're saying; MORE variety would definitely be welcome here. Even if it was just "weapon costumes" or if you could take one weapon and choose an alternate appearance for it. (So like, you could take a sword, and make it become a mace, and it would still have the exact same stats and effects and everything, it would just look like a mace now)
Though for reference, there IS a series of Swords that fit what you were looking for in a 2-handed model. You still carry them with one hand, but they're definitely big, and they kind of swing so slowly that it's -harder- to use your shield, at any rate. ;) Look for the Hatchet, Heavy Hatchet, Troika, and.. well I forget what the next two were called, but by the time you've gotten your hands on a Troika (which is a 2-star weapon) you'll have probably found the rest out yourself. :)
