(Player Name) is a cheat.

I was planning to buy Final Flourish ASI High, he mailed me that he had Final Flourish ASI High and Gremlin Medium, which the price is 10Kce.
Here is the evidence.

Then I decide to buy it from him, and he told me he will use alt to trade with me because the FF is on his alt's package.

Ok. then his alt came and traded me.

When I press the confirm button I just realised that he give me 'Flourish ASI High and Gremlin Medium', Not Final FLourish ASI High and Gremlin Medium.

Ok, then I asked him why you cheat me and I want money refund, he just said no, and even told me that this is a fair deal!

(Player Name), I tell you, The 9870ce is just a little money for everyone, but you lose your self-respect in the end of this year.

Keep going and cheat other people who trusted you before.

while I may have made an Error in the mails i sent him the thread where i have been selling my things to him, and my messagees to him through Private trade chat Clearly State that it is a Flourish,

Now in my defense, i thought i made it perfectly clear via private chat it was a flourish, i thought no one in there right mind would expect a final for 9.87k Ce with a Double UV ASI Very High Gremlin medium, the icons make it very easy to distinguish as well.

Now, i have already told him that i sent in a support ticket which i did asking for clarification on this matter, and said quite clearly that if the GM's Believe i am in the wrong i will happily return his money in exchange for my flourish.

That said such blatant Defamation of character is appalling and makes me far less inclined to care about his opinion. This is all i have to say on this matter, make your opinions about me if you must, i will wait for a GM's ruling before i take further action

In his first post, Xanafein ADMITS that he was wrong in his PMs and Mail. Though It is shown that he could have cheated you, I believe he's acting a bit more mature here. Even if you were scammed, Naming and shaming on the forums gets you in trouble as well, no matter how you look at it.

Hope you sort this out with the GM and don't continue to complain here.
And for the record I'm not on anyone's side, though if it were me selling OR buying the Flourish, I would probably make sure I know EXACTLY what I'm getting AND during the trade to be sure that it is the exact Item I wanted before hitting confirm. I had a good read from this thread though.

On the other hand has the forum gotten clogged with whining, complaining, and unnecessary posts recently, or is it just me?

Honestly, I didn't read all that ^^ up there. It's the same sad song over and over on here.

On a positive note, these ... people ... getting scammed (making poor trade decisions), are learning valuable internet and even life lessons. Preparation for their budding internet adventures.

Same here. In the long run I think those that do that are saving others from deadly forum complaining, plus despite popular disbelief, You probably will save money by crafting and rolling UVs. Not literally, but you have a 0% chance of getting scammed. Well "scammed" because people will still complain like this on the forums and from Punch's UV rolling.

Even though I use steam (only to login, thats where I found Spiral Knights), I have to agree that the new players are quite annoying. IMO if OOO broke away from Steam and allowed Steam to convert to normal accounts, I'd like them 100% more.

And that's not even taking the authentication failures into account.

Yeah...

Hopefully, those who have been scammed, learn something. It is hard to tell if they are just banging their head into a wall over and over again.

I would like to think that the next time a similar situation arises they may pause and think to themselves "Oh wait, last time I did this, it sucked!" and not make the same mistake again.

The matter was solved with GM intervention, and they're gonna ignore your complaints about his "dirty tricks".
Here's the thing...Xanafein's been around for a while. I always see him in Haven 1, and I've run a couple runs with him. He's developed a repoire with the SK community.

You have bad grammar and can't realize the fight's over, even though you won. Also, you're willing to shell out a ton of CE for a meh weapon instead of crafting.

Caveat Emptor. Good luck with that lawsuit, or whatever you were planning.

Actually, Rereading this, I have a few things to say.

Once you click trade, that item is no longer yours, as you clicked confirm, meaning you agreed to the trade. It was your fault that you didn't check and make sure it was correct. True, they should have told you beforehand, 'Oops, it's actually a Flourish.', but it was still your fault.

Can't really say who's side I'm on, but you Both messed up, the OP messing up more.

We're all human and we make mistakes from time to time. Sometimes we type the wrong thing... Sometimes we read the wrong thing... Sometimes you stand a little too long on fire or spikes... I'm pretty sure I do all of the above all the time. Anyway, things happen, but at least you get a chance to double check during the actual trade - take a second or two to hover your mouse over the icons and make sure it's what was promised. Also, polite communication works wonders. I hope you clearly explained the situation before you started badmouthing and accusing someone who might have unknowingly made an honest mistake. Maybe I am biased, maybe not - I got a deal that was more than fair from Xanafein a bit ago and it was a very pleasant transaction. But, I am sure when I say that this is perhaps not the most mature way to deal with the situation.

Anyway, remember that this is just a game. Don't stress out that much about it. And like I always say, Happy Gaming!

someone buys a weapon from someone that has a HIGH UV for 9K ce, which, to the buyer, should not matter if the weapon is 2* or 5* star (because UVs are transferable through upgrades, and if you can afford to pay 9K ce for a weapon, then crafting costs shouldn't even matter), and what happens?
