Painted a portrait of good friend and guild mate Onyxbandit in his Vog set (and his Barbarous Thorn Blade).... I'm relatively proud of it so I figure I might as well post it up here, hee. ^^; I've got one more left to do.
Onyx
Thanks for looking! <3
Knight Portrait~
Awsome and it looks like official art work. What program do you use to colour it. I use pencils to draw.
That looks sick, man! The lighting is amazing. I'd love to see more like it
Thanks so much you guys! <3
@Atru- I sketched and painted it in Photoshop (CS4). ^^
Very well done. Did you mean that you sketched and painted it in Photoshop, or that you sketched it, and then painted it in Photoshop?
I both sketched and painted it in Photoshop, lol. :3
think you could do more if we ask or offer someting in return? i would greatly like to see my character done like that
But how did you get the painting effect with the strokes?
@Atru and Gimpyo
I just used the brush tool and.. well.. painted it, lol. I want to practice cell shading, but I'm more comfortable with the painterly style atm.
And Gimpyo, I'll have to see, I'd need some more practice first to get used to drawing Knights. They're not all that easy to capture, haha. ^^; I'm more used to drawing Pokemon. :3
lol well, please tell me when you think your ready =3
Do you have a account where you have your other drawings? If so, may I please have a link. I am really intrested in your wirk!
looks fantastic you do any requests? would love to have you draw a character I created (maybe even make him spiral knight style)
That is some seriously awesome art! You got the motion and everything! I love how you made the Vog Cub armor look more... awesome!
You should do more sets of armor, perhaps Fallen set or Dread Skelly. It is really amazing, and its my favorite piece of art on here!
Just Asking... Do You Already Have Stuff To Draw?
Coz If U Can... Ya Know... Draw Me?
Just Giving Ideas... A Dread Skelly Suit - Mask - Shield Knigh holding a gran faust stuck that is stuck in the floor
Ideas...
Great brush work and use of light on this one- the reflections from the glowing/burning part of the armor really make the piece. The pose is really dynamic, too, and I think the use of a plain black background sets everything off really well.
Very nice brushwork and I like the posing, but the balance might be a little off - I'd suggest regular horizontal flipping to make sure everything's properly in proportion. Personally I'd use a softer brush for the glow on the ears and render the flames either with Liquefy (I know, I know, but fire is actually loads easier using that much-abused tool; build up some glow on a separate layer, using the Linear Dodge brush, then tease out some flames using Liquefy) or a much sharper brush; whilst fire gives off a fairly diffuse glow, flames themselves are quite strongly delineated. A tiiiiny bit of Curves tweaking might bring the contrast out a little more; I must emphasise, this is really nicely-rendered, but it could easily pop a little more, particularly in the areas not directly lit by embers. Maybe even a smidge of specular lighting on the rivets, help knock them forward a bit from the general plate? And for Pete's sake, save at a higher quality! This is far too well-drawn to deserve all those compression artefacts.
(I'm sure Delano understands what I'm getting at here - you simply do not get to be as good as that piece demonstrates without critique - but I just want to make sure everyone else realises that I'm not picking a fight; this is good, and I like it!)
Very impressive, you did a great job! :D
I love how dynamic it is and the "texture" of the whole picture
