So, Nick just posted a picture on his twitter.
Seems like Ian's working on something Gremlin related. Is it me, or does it look like one of the Gremlins in the lower right has a shield, and a sketch of a cannon over his shoulder...?

Gremlin boss or new enemies. Crimson Guard maybe. Maybe Gremlin man! Defender of the gremlins from the knights. Also I hope one of the gremlins have a Polaris/Supernova.

I hope it's a new boss in the works, or maybe the core. Some new weapons would be nice, but I don't think that's what he's working on.
Id love to see a Flamethrower weapon for knight. Ranged Fire attack burning and setting on fire everything on its way! Including teammates!

I think the most likely thing is that this will be the Crimson Guard, and King Tinkizar will be the next tier boss, in the Core. It makes sense. He led the creation of the Clockworks, he'd be at the center, the best protected. I'm guessing these pimped out Gremlins are the last line of defense for him.
I know nick was wearing a Gremlin disguise so maybe he's making gremlin disguise outfits for knights or overall another playable race

Searching game files will reveal some new gremlin stuff. I've noticed it several days ago. Can't discuss it here though :-D

Bump so maybe Nick can give us a better hint!
My hypothesis on this manner is perhaps the new "boss" is one of those annoying bosses in those games, where there are multiple "mini bosses" who are all fought at once, with annoying battle phases and certain weaknesses in between the mini bosses.
It's either that or these are like for tier 4 or something.
Setting that aside, I think it is only fair to give players instantplanting bombs and flamethrowers, cuz' the Gremlins have them already.
