Dear fellow player,

I can't remember your name, but I do remember your gear: You were wearing an azure helm and rock jelly mail, I believe a great defender was your shield of choice, and I clearly recall you had a faust and fiery pepperbox equipped as your only two weapons.

To whoever that person was: I'm sorry I went solo and abandoned you in the middle of a run. I had jumped into the random party at basil fully intending to stick it out with whoever I happened to end up with, but it just wasn't working out. While I might have been able to carry you if it were just the two of us, the other two players weren't really pulling their weight very well either, and I could well see that the party was coming to no good end.

If there would be one piece of advice I could give, it would be to perhaps take a moment to reconsider your gear choices before joining a party at D24 in FIRESTORM CITADEL.

FSC in PUGs is NOT FUN,

FSC in PUGs is NOT FUN, though those gear choices reach epic new amounts of fail.

I don't mind PUGs in FSC for 24-26. In 27 things can go pretty pear shaped when noobs mess up, and for vana, well, when I had an elevator pass I'd just go down and let them waste energy on revives during the inevitable wipes, and then either somehow manage to have them spend their way to victory, or go up after essentially losing nothing but a bit of time.

But yes, this guy's gear was a special sort of fail.

If the player in question had fully Jelly set, I'd have sworn it was someone I knew.

I forget how we got into the same party, but the gist of it is that he shows up to FSC in fully Jelly (5*, which is...slightly an improvement over your dude), armed with an Avenger and a Pepperbox. We express doubt that his equipment is up to standard, he says he's fine, he's done this millions of times before. We go down all the way to Vana since the other two in the party were pretty good, where he proceeds to try and attack Vana. With his Avenger. In phase 5. Just...what? We have him iced for a reason, and it's not because we want you to run in and smack him.

Shadow Weapons

This reminds me of that time when I PUGged FSC with someone who came wonderfully equipped with an Acheron (or Silent Nightblade, I don't know the difference) and a Sentenza (or Blackhawk), who still managed to somehow screw up the waves in the last room of D27. Fortunately everyone else had at least some experience in FSC, and we didn't get completely slaughtered.
