Hey, I just got an iron lockbox from the prize wheel and I was wondering what they go for, if its worth it to open it, and how can I obtain 750 energy for a key without using real money?

I would suggest selling it now, and then buying another later once you have enough CE to buy a silver key. I sold my lockbox for over 5k cr (don't remember the price) just recently and if I really want to open one, I'll buy it after I buy a silver key.

Trade
If you go to the trade button which is under the Buy button you can trade crows for energy. The trade values are always changing because i bought some energy once then i was about to buy some more and the price went up. Or you can trade with someone and have them put in some energy (which is right under the crowns). Other than that there is no other way that i am aware of.
If you want to know what they go for you could just check the Auction House and search "Iron Lockbox." Many will say that they are not worth opening as there is a fairly high chance that they will receive rather unhelpful and otherwise not preferable items (there is a miniscule chance of finding an uber-rare, much-prized, extremely powerful, disposable Shadow Key, but, I wouldn't count on it). To obtain 750 Energy (and any other quantity of Energy over 100 and any amount of Crystal Energy for that matter), one must either trade for it with Crowns at the Energy Depot (very costly and time consuming saving up all those Crowns) or instantly buy Crystal Energy with REAL money.
