Spent all morning playing from Depth 1 to 28 with a clean fully heated level 10 Iron Slug. No Unique Variants or set bonuses.

Stratum 1 — Depth: 01-03 (Tier 1)

level.1 dmg 24 / charged 41. level.2 dmg 25 / charged 43. level.3 dmg 25 / charged 46.

Stratum 2 — Depth: 05-07 (Tier 1)

level.5 dmg 29 / charge 55. level.6 dmg 25 / charged 56. level.7 dmg 31 / charged 61.

Stratum 3 — Depth: 09-12 (Tier 2)

2. thanks! this lets us see with some of these odd-balls weps if we might be interested to get. I've been farming out the mats to create my valiance and was wonering about this one. What would you say in terms of usefulness, should someone consider getting an iron slug? It's too bad it doesn't stun, or i would be all over it to use for stunning anything with the charge .... its annoying stunning things that resist piercing with my callahan, it looks wierd.

Well, for starters it still knocks over enemies like *Wolvers and Gremlins much like its counterpart the Callahan.
(*Doesn't knock down the Alpha Wolvers)

It can be used to stop the *Gun Puppies and Polyp towers from firing off their barbs/Bullets mid-firing.
(*Toward the end of Tier2 and all through Tier3 it doesn't have the stopping effect on Puppies anymore)

The bullets are fast like the Argent Peacemaker and Sentenza; which means that you can hit Mecha Knights once before they shield from the bullet.

But downside its damage is flimsy, you're stuck in place when you fire it, it's charge really slows your movement to a crawl; as well as launching you nearly 2.5 tiles backwards upon firing.

I don't recommend this gun.

Mecha Knights don't usually block the first direct shot fired at them from most fast guns, including the Antigua series and Blaster series. However, unless you're soloing, shooting in the general area of Mecha Knights is usually a bad idea, since the shielding effect gives sword users fits.

Furthermore, the damage on Iron Slug is only about 30-40% higher per shot than Valiance, which has a three-shot clip(compared to Iron Slug's two) and much less movement restriction(compared to Iron Slug's heavy recoil). Valiance itself is heavily outclassed by most other guns, as it does Normal damage like Iron Slug, but even it outclasses Iron Slug in just about every aspect.

Looking at those damage numbers, I'd say the only time you'd EVER want to make an Iron Slug is if you have several cognitive deficiencies, or have a blood alcohol level high enough to tranquilize a large cow.

Otherwise, I wouldn't go near it even if it came with a free bailout package.

I was lucky to get Magnus UV

I was lucky to get Magnus UV (CTR: Very High) and think about what to do: Iron Slug or Callahan? What you think?

1. Craft Iron Slug and get rare weapon with attack against everything and maximum CTR;
2. Craft Callahan and get weapon with attack against two type of monsters and maximum CTR;

I think about Callahan, because i am already have weapon with "much more damage" - Polaris.

Also i don't like in Polaris bullet speed, and in Antigua - damage. Callahan and Iron Slug look's like solve it.
