We are a bunch of kind-hearted, helpful, humorous knights who play Spiral Knights just for the fun of it. We cater to the beginners and all the way up to the elite of knights!

We have two very simple rules here at our guild:
1) ABSOLUTELY no begging! (We are willing to help out youngins on their way in SK, but by no means are a charity at your disposal).
2) Be kind :)

Hey, I've been looking for a guild to play the game with and me likes the sound (And name) of this one :P

1 - My IGN is Weegeftws (slightly different to my forum name :P)
2 - I recently acquired tier 2 :3 Although I have some experience of three back when I played in june/july (Seems I deleted that char at some point so I started a new one)
3 - Swordsman all the way :) Although I still need to acquire a second sword (Damn you Basil for not selling me the Troika recipe!)
4 - Snarbolax mostly atm (trying to get the snarble barb and the... shield.. thingy xD) Other than that I've aimed at arenas cause' they give alot of crown and are somewhat challenging :3 Definatley gonna start killing the Royal Jelly King at some point.

Hope to do a run with you guys sometime :3

2) What tier are you? Tier 2. Almost Tier 3, just need an armor and 400 CE for upgrading my sealed sword into Avenger
3) What type of player are you (swordsman/gunner/bomber/hybrid)? I'm always a swordman. Though, I can be anything and adapt based on the situation
4) What bosses do you tend to fight the most? Jelly King (team and soloed) I never play Roamulus twins just because I don't have an elemental sword yet. :P.

I'm really hoping you could help me do Roamulus twins runs and help me get stuff for tier 3. Right now I have the Dusker Set, Knight Blade, Sealed Sword (Just need 400 ce for Avenger), Horned Owlite Shield, Calibur and 2 Weapon slots.

Really hope I could get in. If I'm in the top 10, I really want the Pulsar/Snarble Barb.

Newbie tips

In the spirit of all that is benevolent, I would like to offer some simple pointers for our newer members : )
I am by no means an expert at this game (Still a newbie to be honest) but this might help you get out of scams.
Never sell 0 star equipment for less than 1 cr
Never sell 1 star equipment for less than 300 cr
Never sell 2 star equipment for less than 750 cr
Never sell 3 star equipment for less than 3500 cr
Never sell 4 star equipment for less than 10000 cr
Never sell 5 star equipment for less than 30000 cr
This is because you can sell those pieces of equipment to vendors for the stated price. I think you don't need to unbind equipment when selling to vendors either (Not sure, needs confirmation)
Always check the auction house before trading with other players. Search for the item in question, and sort the offers by "buy price". Bid price is very deceptive, and buy price is a safer way to determine market price.
Always check the energy depot before trading ce. I have seen very sad cases where a player gives up his/her 100 ce for a measly price of 3600 crowns. The market price (at the time of writing) was actually 6400 crowns, and he/she could have gotten a much higher price for it.
If you want to sell stuff at the auction house, check first. If the same item is on auction and has very short time remaining, but has no bids, it usually means the price they set for bidding is too high or there's just no demand for the item.

I also want to suggest a system to help players!
If you want to craft an item but you don't have the recipe, I will happily craft it for you (if you provide the energy and crowns haha xD I'm still a newbie myself)
This should save up recipe cost which will get daunting bit by bit.
Anyone who would like to participate should post their list of recipes! : D

I also can confirm with you that you don't need to unbind items in order to sell to vendors.
Also, a pro-tip would be to sell all non-UV items into vendors when you don't want them anymore because the unbinding fees are quite high in order to make a profit off them from selling to other players compared to selling through a vendor. Token items and UV items can typically be sold to other players after unbinding them for a profit greater than the vendor selling depending on the UV or token item.

And Yandao the list is right.... :D
The prices you are giving are about how much items cost originally. Gonephising is talking about the selling price. It's difficult to gain profits from selling an item that comes close to how much you bought it for originally unless you have stellar UV.

Yandao has a point though, it mostly happens with 1 star and 2 star items haha. By the time we acquire 3 star gear, we're most likely used to the auction system and would never sell 3 star gear for less than 3500 : P. That is very much underpricing.
Maybe we could also put all the tips together?
Unbinding is very expensive...

Also, it would be great if we did devise an official recipe farming system. It seems to be doing well for Tuna and all of us. Selling stuff at face value to each other is also pretty nice. Although binding fee is obviously part of the face value fee :D

Derpules! I wanted "Herpules", but someone had taken that. :( You'll often see me bumming around the AH, wondering why no one will buy my Skelly Suits.

2) What tier are you?

3! If talking to the dude to unlock the gate counts. But I'll probably be heating my (new, improved!) 3* gear in JK runs for the near future. My current 4*s are pretty underwhelming.

3) What type of player are you (swordsman/gunner/bomber/hybrid)?

Swordsman, for now.

4) What bosses do you tend to fight the most?

JK and JK alone. Again, for now. I might do some IMF runs to get a Polaris. YES, I'M A WOLVER CLONE. But a Wolver clone with a CTR H Faust. That counts for something, right?

I love the idea of the recipe system. Could we put that in the wiki page too? A WTB list at the top, followed by a list of existing, spare recipes, and which guild member has them (and how many). There could be one for gear as well. I've got a couple of shinies I'd happily sell at cost (though cost for me is usually what someone else sold them to me for, not crafting/unbind cost) or even less.

Long time no see!

Hey everyone! It's been hectic in the "real life" (my parents weren't lying... there really are clouds in the sky), been having lots of work to do. I'm somewhat curious about the flame war... What happened Derpules? I was also thinking that we could have tips of the day for certain aspects of the game. Derpules is really good at looking at the market (prices to sell stuff, etc.), and as of now Tunaofdirt has given me awesome tips with boss fights. I'm sure your expertise(s) would immensely help some of our newer members! I think this could go in the website. One more thing, maybe we could make another thread just for discussions to keep the recruitment page uncluttered. I'm also really enjoying the recent surge of guild activities (I think following Raven's weekly lotteries), and am looking forward to even more guild spirit! Speaking of guild spirit, some members were not in the guild picture, so I think it might be good to schedule another one if possible. Maybe in the weekends so all timezones can participate. This time, no need to salute xD. Also welcome back Yandao! You missed a lot.
