I'm playing around with being a bomber.. so I had a question about how fire works with poison if anyone can help. If the character gets poisoned, do they take more DoT from fire? Would their current DoT change if they were poisoned after being set on fire? Do players stop healing from guard if they are poisoned? Is there a signifigant difference between weaker/stronger poison effects or is it just length?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure for all

I'm pretty sure for all status effects the only difference between weak, moderate and strong is the duration of the effect.

The other questions I don't know, as I don't poison enemies often enough to notice the effect.

some info

I don't know everything for sure, but:

In PvE, Poison does not increase Fire damage ticks. It will increase Shock ticks by a slight amount, and yes, if you Shock something and then Poison it, all subsequent ticks will do the slightly increased damage. Dunno if this is also true in LD.

In LD, players stop healing when poisoned(can't pick up hearts or use heal pads), but as for the shield healing, I'm not sure.

Also in LD, the other major difference between weak, moderate and strong is the amount of Poison resist needed to become immune to the effect. People who run 7 points of Poison resistance would be immune to(the poison effect of) Venom Veiler, but not from Biohazard, Plague Needle or DVS.

Hmm

Just to clarify...

>I'm pretty sure for all status effects the only difference between weak, moderate and strong is the duration of the effect.

In PvE, the amount of damage or result of the effect is affected by many factors including the star level of the weapon, the depth, various monster resistances to the status and also the status's strength (Weak, Moderate, Strong, etc.) Higher up the scale tends to do more damage or have a large affect. For example, Poison from VV does not reduce defense as must as the Poison from DVS.

Even with a single weapon, "strong" can mean different things. The FoV's fire does more damage per tick when inflicted with the charge attack than with a basic combo.
