25 Hours playing lockdown, at an average of 2 tokens per 10 minute round. That’s how long it takes to collect the 300 Krogmo coin tokens needed to purchase the shockburst serie recipes from the vendor Sullivan. Mass crafting experiment.

Resources required to craft 50 brandish swords:
• Craft fee 2.5Kce (at 6Kcr per 100ce), 150Kcr
• 50 x 400cr, 20Kcr
• 100 Monster bones at 250cr, 50Kcr.
• 100 Beast scales at 100cr, 20Kcr.
Total cost is 150 + 20 + 50 + 20 = 240Kcr.

Outcome of my crafting experiment:
• 47 Brandish, no UV
• 3 Brandish, single UV (2x Asi low, 1x Gremlin low)

According to wiki.spiral.com the chance on getting an UV on a bomb is approximately 10%. From another source i've heard 1 out of 8 crafts gives an UV. At that same rate i could expect to get appoximatly 5-6 UV's. Guess I'm unlucky.

Conclusion:
Mass crafting brandish swords in the hope of finding UV's is a waste of resources, even if you would have been lucky and gottten 7-8 UV's on 50 crafts. For the same amount of 240Kcr i could have gotten 12 UV's, 3 double UV's, or even 1 triple UV by using Variant Tickets at Punch. A mistake i will not be making again and by posting this hopefully neither will you.

The percentage stays at 10% each time, the percentage will not raise after 10 times for 100% and a definite UV, because the chances are still 10% at each craft :U

I completely agree with you on the fact that 50 is a really small sample size. Unfortunatly i lack the funds to create a larger scale experiment.

I concluded that even if you would have a 15% chance of crafting a sword with a UV, you'd still be better off using variant tickets. You could ofcourse gamble for that triple UV on mass crafting, but it is a gamble enough on getting good UVs as it is. I'd suggest going for certainty on getting a single or double UV by spending 240Kcr on variant tickets, instead of crafting 50 brandish swords and risk getting less than you bargained for.

From here on i will use double variant tickets only to find proper UVs. It seems to me people are only willing to pay unbind costs, if the UV on it is actually worth unbinding. Despite the fact that it takes ages to collect those krogmo coins.

I have no ASI medium as of yet, but im keeping my eye open on the AH for UV's like this. I do have a blizzbrand ASI medium, which i bought of a friend who has recently quit the game. Price 2250 Ce (now raised to 2500ce, since new update).

I understand you Statiicz. Let me give you an example Koeliejoelie. Lets say the lottery sells 100 tickets each time (lets pretend ok). You buy 1 ticket each time for 100 games. This is like what happened to you Koeliejoelie. You tried doing something like this and you did not win. The probability you thought was that you would get with the UVs (lets just say you did the lottery), the chance you would have thought would be 100/100 - simplified to 1/1 or 1 or 100% whatever; but the chance is actually 100/10000 (just add how many chances or tickets you got out of the chances/tickets were sold 100 (1 (you bought per game) x100 (how many games you bought them for) tickets you bought add (10000 (how many were sold all together)) equals the probability of 100/10000 = 1/100 or 1% still.

I've been putting Voltedges on the AH with mediocre UV's for way more than 6Kce and they HAVE been selling! Not sure why i am still trying to sell through the forum if i could just as well place them on the AH and make a better profit on them.

Anyways, i will keep my shop open for a little longer.

Mediocre stuff sells better on AH.

Actually, very good stuff seems to sell better in the AH, too. I think people only sell here because of the reduced risk. You control when to sell, at what price. The trade-off for that is that often the price is lower, or you make no sale at all.

Anyway, I hope you'll continue listing very good stuff on the forum, at least. :)
