Kalaina, I think both a gun damage and gun asi would make it too powerful over the nameless set.
1. Nameless is only norm + elemental (just like the new merc. gear)
2. Nameless has no status
3. Nameless has med asi which asi is crap for guns
and this new armor has damage bonus low and asi low. It would just cloud over Nameless terribly.
I think just give it a low damage bonus and no low asi. Otherwise you have to deal with even more unbalanced armor.
It would create that bombastic vs. mercurial type situation all over again.
And I know you know I said this in the thread you made this one off of, but Gunners do not need a fifth set.
Gunners have 4, because Deadshot is technically a gunner set (you can't say it isn't) and is subject to change in the future (which I am going to suggest, I've heard multiple say "it isn't gunner gear, it is swordsman and bomber gear too!")
Swordsman had 3 pre-snarb and bombs had 3 pre-merc.
All that needs to happen is balancing to get rid of un-balancing (like making deadshot only guns and bombastic shadow defense).

Now this is off-topic so please read my above post for on-topic discussion, this is more off-topic (it wasn't an accident double post, it makes it neater i think :)
Shadowsun is not bad armor. In LD you'll want damage bonus over ASI and piercing resistance as a gunner. In PvE, you also want damage bonus > asi because asi is not that great at all for us. And piercing resistance is a need in PvE for future content and current things it's good to have diverse armor. Shadowsun is the only way to hit maximum damage in LD, and the only way to hit maximum damage on everything in PvE (assuming you did get two dmg med trinkets).
Currently the only issue is that SL Snarb deals piercing and poison and this has negative poison.
Currently I have a 4* sunset poncho or whatever going into shadowsun slicker with deadshot, going to invest in another hat besides nameless to go into a shadowsun hat as well.
Thanks, I know I saw both of you (Voltaire and The-Rawrcake) earlier in my thread. I do agree something has to be done about the damage on deadshot and there being no shadow defense bomber gear. I just feel like you can't really get a useful gunslinger set damage wise, while twins remain with no set based off of them and no shadow lair set.
Basically I'm thinking http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Mercurial_Demo_Suit with ASI low and Damage low on guns. Perhaps not all that creative, but it works.

The Elemental defense and Shock resist are very Roarmy. And we really do need a Shadow Lair armor for gunners.
