How many people can explain this line from the ToS, section 9: "Three Rings strongly discourages the use of the password bypass feature, which will in any event be at your own risk."
This is open to GMs/Devs too!

Password Bypass = Mother's Maiden Name, Pet, Favorite Color, etc.
They work better when a randomly generated password is emailed to the account on file upon a successful answer..
They are still a bad idea.
Ironskullki and Debianlinux: Good guesses, but no.
Tim-Bale is Angry you have forgotten the "D" at the end of Ironskullkid & even more Furious that you do not refer to his First Name, Iron.
More of this paragraph, its already explained, you just had to actually read TOS not just guess or troll topic.:
"You acknowledge that although the Site, Services and/or Games may offer a feature that allows you to "remember" your password and thereby bypass the password protection, this feature makes it possible for third parties to access your account and User ID. Three Rings strongly discourages the use of the password bypass feature, which will in any event be at your own risk. "
It means that even if there is a feature to "remember password" on ingame logon screen, Three Rings is suggesting to you to type in your password every time instead of letting a client remember it. Also it says that if you will use a "remember password" option and someone will acces your account (since he wont have to type password in since its remembered) and stole your things Three Rings will have full right to completly ignore you since you are doing it on your own risk.
Btw. all kongregate users are forced to use password bypass feature (since they dont really know their real SK username and password) therfore it seems that every case of account hacking or stealing items on kongregate SK accounts can be immidiatly completly ignored by OOO. Nice move OOO, put game on other side. Force everyone to use password bypass and have full right to wash your hands off from every hack or ingame item steal case related to other person accesing someones account.

I can explain, show how to do and likewise discourage it:

Oh! Congrats, I figured it would probably be someone like evilduck, icee or you. ^.^
And, I learned something new! I had no idea it was still around in any form. But, a minor correction to your explanation. OOO didn't used to store the unencrypted password, it stored an MD5 hash of the password. That still isn't particularly good, since they didn't even use your account name or a random number as a salt.
Asukalanforum: As a ringer already explained to you, kongregate doesn't use a password, it uses an authentication protocol. This has nothing to do with kongregate.
Ty Spiral, and I won't use it. Don't want anyone getting into my account, not even by accident :/
When someone says something you have no-clue about, it's nice finding out what it is, so next time, you don't look like a complete idiot 8)
Or is it just me? O_o ?
@Algol-Sixty
You right but not. After longer thinking, its not true what i said that every kong user is forced to bypass password. Indeed, that data is generated based on Kongregate account and then sent to SK. And even if its not password bypassing for SK, still if you have your kongregate password and username stored on kong site IT IS password bypassing. Therfore section 9 on TOS still has something to do with kongregate.

No. When the OOO says things like "the Site" throughout the ToS, they mean spiralknights.com, not some other site. Read section 9 completely, it is clear it is talking about what Spiral-Spy explained, not some third party website or tool or something. This line was put into the ToS before Kongregate even existed.
The "remember password" option was removed in Release 2006-12-08 and those few sentences in the ToS have been irrelevant ever since.
Just be thankful that OOO removed the "no cross ocean trading" clause from the SK version of the ToS, that would really cause Spiral Knights to scratch their heads.
Password Bypass Feature- A Device used to Hack into a Player, able to use/see their Password, for their own Personal Gain.
Don't Hack.
