Recipe question.

So i recently bought a dusker cap recipe from Basil.I still have the recipe in my inventory,but when i tried to buy the recipe again(waiting for a friend to come online so i can give one to him and one for myself)it seems that he doesn't have it in stock.Do i need to use/trade the recipe in order to buy it again or will it always be out of stock?I could probably test this out right now but i don't think the chance of a dusker cap recipe appearing in Basil's inventory is high or anything.

Actually I believe that count
Actually I believe that count resets when the vendors reset with a new randomized list of items at midnight Pacific Daylight Time. So if it's 0 on the icon for you, it means you have bought one and just need to wait until the next day to be able to buy another one. It has nothing to do with whether or not you have learned or sold the recipe/item to another player.
If you learn the recipe it will always be out of stock. If you didn't you can't buy another one until you sell your current one. I'm not sure if it works that way for Kozma but for Basil it does.
