So i've made a haze bomb with UV medium damage to undead... wondering if I should go freeze or fire with it? thanks for the input
which route for my haze bomb?
Poison: Healing Degeneration, reduced damage, reduced defense.
Is that legit? I thought poison was just healing reduction.
Nevermind, misread the wiki. You're right.
I use the haze bomb family quite frequently as my second bomb. Fire is great for doing continuous damage, and since Undead are weak against elemental, fire would be a good option for that particular UV.
Freezing is useful for holding gun puppies in place or immobilizing a portion of the mob. Too frequently though some sword-happy person will go free all the frozen enemies.
I don't personally use the toxic line too often, the situations where it would be preferred over others just don't come up frequently.
For all bombs, the most useful UV is going to be Decreased Charge Time with Medium or higher. Haze bombs are very cheap to make and their components are readily available. Once you get a feel for the different haze bombs lines, make a couple dozen bombs to find ones with the Decreased Charge Time then upgrade them. Also, the AoE for bombs increases dramatically with each star level. For haze bombs the radius isn't large enough to make a big impact until 3*.
I cannot honestly tell you as I'm no expert.
But I am a fan of freezing.
I have heard that in Tier 3 a lot of the zombies are fire so if you choose fire then you could be wasting your time. Remember, this is just heresay. I don't know this.
Also freezing can help on solo and multiplayer. Even when people break some of your freezing effects, the larger the radius, the fewer they can break, meaning you still can help your friends buy stopping enemy movement. And with the freezing ones, there are a few seconds where the effect still lasts, so they can get hit and then instantly refrozen.
Freezing bombs are also still elemental so it'll still go well with the hurting undead bit.
Yeah, in Tier 3, you don't want to go to the end boss with a fire element bomb... Totally useless
There is another thread where this was discussed, you can try to search for it.
It doesn't make much of a difference. They're both extremely useful; just pick the status effect you like better.
