Looks like the T1 LD party is over. It's sad, even with the steam quitters it was a lot more fun than T2.

So now I'm stuck with T2 again, trying to go against the current with my bombs while I get ventilated by auto-aiming toothpick spammers.

I could get a Dusker set and craft a TSB (I even have a spare snarblebarb kicking around in my inventory that I've been trying to ignore). I could own the field with a sword, I did it easily enough in T1 with just a heavy hatchet. I don't want to. I want there to be more variety in T2 LD.

Devs? How about giving bombers and gunners a bit more love? Give Recon and Guardian a bomb damage bonus, Recon and Striker a gun damage bonus. Or hell, just make more useful 3* guns and bombs, I don't care. Just do something.

and to think i started lockdown when the promo was going on. the best games were when both sides had 2-4 highly skilled players trying to outdo each other with leavers on both teams

i support more useful bombs.

I think I won 5 bombheads, none of the coolest ones though (fiery, toxic etc).

T2 lockdown bomber...

I recommend using the lightning capacitor and a nightblade if you're a bomber. Great for dealing with the dusker/piercing wep crowd. I used to get some serious hate from people, calling me a bomb-spamming noob as my team went on to another victory...

I actually originally planned to get bomber gear, but after various lockdown matches consisting of me getting poked everywhere (I had electron charge and a normal shockburst brandish), I decided to go all sword/gun. Worked out a lot better, since I prefer to ambush people rather than zoom; stab; run away. Though I do get a bit carried away when I see a mob full of death marks.....
Also, blueberrymuffin was the first person added to my ignore list. Thankfully.

- T1 Lockdown is arguably more balanced than T2 or T3

- There was a LOT of T1 traffic during the Steam promo, so it was very easy to find a match

Meta pretty much got it. T1 LD is way more balanced due to the weapons available. As far as I know, t2 and t3 both have mainly dusters/Skolvers/vogs/snarbies running around with piercing swords.

Here's how I see it:
T1- New players/T3 players in need of a break
T2- Average players and T3 players dominating actual T2 players; a few players here and there still wearing unique gear (Ex: Nicoya with sun shards)
T3- Pro players and transitioning players (ash tail).

Most damage:
T1- 6.2k
T2- 9.6k (this used to he impressive in tier 3 when LD was normal)
T3- 21k (probably have been higher scores)

I think I pulled 4.5k damage in a noob-slaughter once. I averaged 1.4k through all the matches, minus the ones I just stopped playing because it was obvious the other team wasn't in the game.

I'm not really worried about damage numbers, I guess. I just want to win. I always play guardian in T3 anyway, so there's no use in comparing with Striker damages.

Having said that, I do get 6ks on a regular basis, and I actually got a 14k damage, full guardian, against a non-stop flood of recons trying to kill me with slow swords and getting my VT-BTB combo in the booty.

well, I guess I pay a little attention to damage :)

Anywho, are you guys all moving up to T2? I'll build a set for T2 if there's gonna be good fights.

I played several games of T1 LD last night. Took a bit for the first one to load, but once it got rolling I played a dozen matches or so.

I have, also, been thinking of building a T2 set. Twas looking at the wiki last night for a suitable load-out. But this may not be the appropriate thread for that discussion.

Anyway,

I will be playing some T1 LD in about 3 hours (dungeon crawls w/ guild when I log on, notwithstanding). I'll look for you there.

*edit - just burned out on T3 pvp, I reckon.

I, like Nicoya, use sun shards in T2 LD, and the very best I ever got was 8k.
Even though it was a 6v6 large crowds of strikers boosting right into my shards, I honestly have no idea how i got that high.

Also, Blueberrymuffin? Such a whiney noob, keeps complaining about my bomb-spamming and screaming about my confiscating my non-existant man-card

Yeah, I did try strikering in T2 for a stint, not really my thing imo (I did kinda suck compared to most of the players there)
Also, a lil' jab, if i may. If my bombing is so noob, how did you lose to me 1 on 1?
Once I get a decent T3 setup I will be joining you on the T3 LD field (I'll prolly get torn to pieces by all the skolvers, but w/e).
