Hey, I just started this game and I need your professional advice, can someone help me? I'm not looking at anything too specific.
Best Post Tier 2/Beginning Tier 3 Loadout for average player.
Well, are you spending money on this for a four weapon layout? or are you going to keep a two weapon layout.
If you only have two weapon slots to work with, I'd recommend getting a Leviathan Blade and a Polaris.
If your have four weapon slots... there's going to be a bit more to work with.
I'd just like to point out that you don't need to spend real money, to afford a third weapon slot. People use wasted ME to buy weapon slot upgrades for resale. So you can often get them for (the crown equivalent of) 150-200 energy, instead of the 250-energy retail price. And once you are able to do Stratum 4 and 6 reliably (especially FSC), it's not hard to maintain this level of cash flow.
"professional advice"
*sniff* smells trollish...
Well, I only have 2 weapon slots and I prefer swords (guns sometimes). So far, I'm not having any difficulties or so. I always play the Clockworks. Never and never will play Lockdown. Right now I'm trying to get a 3rd weapon slot
Also, I'm not sure if I should get another sealed sword, sell it, then get a polaris or keep the sealed sword for faust.
The main question is what do you suggest I buy/crafted next to get ready to enter tier 3.
I currently have 2 weapon slot, avenger, night blade, horned owlite shield, Dusker set and no trinkets.
Upgrade your nightblade and get a piercing weapon.
Okay, Super-Ed. Aemicus' advice is good. Keep going on Avenger and Nightblade. Definitely get one of the piercing swords; many of us consider them to be the most overpowered weapons in the game.
If you want to have a gun, then get an elemental gun. (Swords have difficulty against turrets sometimes. All turrets are vulnerable or neutral to elemental damage. So an elemental gun is really useful.)
Your armor is all popular and good. I recommend that you get one piece of Vog Cub, then one piece of Skolver, so that you have an armor set with some versatility. Then you can collect more pieces, to build specialized sets.
As long as you are carrying two non-normal damage types, you do not need a third weapon slot. But do get a third weapon slot sometime, to try it out. It lets you carry all three non-normal damage types (for maximum damage) and/or a gun/bomb (for versatility and fun).
You've given us very little information about yourself. The only way that we could answer such a vague question, would be if there was a single loadout that was ideal for all players. And if that were true, then this game would...be worse than it is. For example:
(A) How many weapon slots do you use?
(B) Do you like using swords, guns, or bombs, or a mixture?
(C) In your play thus far, which levels or monster types have you found most difficult?
(D) Do you want this loadout for the Clockworks, or also for Lockdown?
In the meantime, you should read the wiki articles
* Damage (to learn the monster vulnerabilities and resistances)
* perhaps the Swordmaster, Gunslinger, and Bombing Guides (although they have drawbacks).
My own take can be found in my sword guide and my general advice.
