hello knights im new to bombing i only used a bomb sense the proto bomb im a tier 5 knight though and i wana try bombing. i was thinking of gettin the new "Mercurial Demo Suit" set and then i seen the mad bomber helmet and how perfectly it increases the dmg and charge time. so i was thinking should i get the mercurial demo suit before getting risky with the mad bomber?

Yeah I agree with Bopp,
Yeah I agree with Bopp, Mercurial is awesome but can only be crafted at the Sanctuary Alchemy Machine on the other side of the Unknown Passage. My first bomb set was the Volcanic Demo Set. Works very well.

Volcanic Plate?
You already have Volcanic Plate Mail? That's not the same thing as Volcanic Demo Suit. They're pretty different. Also, Volcanic Salamander Suit is different.
We suggested Volcanic Demo Suit because it's the safe bomber suit. If it's too boring for you, then just get the Mad Bomber Suit. Or mix Volcanic Demo with Mad Bomber. That combination seems popular.

Then Mad Bomber Suit
This is because the volcanic demo helm has medium CTR, while the volcanic demo suit only provides low.

Get bombs first, worry about armor later.
The CTR from demo armor is nice, but rarely necessary, especially after your bombs are at level 10 and get their automatic medium CTR. I love my Volcanic Demo set for fire levels, but I'd had enough success wearing other armors that I wouldn't recommend crafting demo armor until you've actually used a bunch of bombs.
Focus on your bombs first and your armor second.
If you are serious about being a bomber, the "must have" four are Nitronome (not for use in PUGs), Dark Briar Barrage, Ash of Agni, and Shivermist (best used in a party or to extinguish oilers). Voltaic Tempest, Venom Veiler, Radiant Sun Shards, Electron Vortex, and Graviton Vortex are other useful bombs, but I'd get those only after having the must-have four.

The-Rawrcake, I'd forgotten about that little twist, so I'm glad that you mentioned it.
Mercurial can be crafted only in the Shadow Lairs, so it's not really easy or cheap to obtain. Maybe try the Volcanic Demo Suit first instead?
Presumably you've already read the Bombing Guide on the wiki?
