Does anyone know how to do the Vana vial glitch?

It's the one where you neutralize or stop Vana from spawning slags. I've been told that you had to count to 3 misissippis starting from the time Vana stands still in the center before he respawns the zombies. I've gotten to work a couple of times, but I've actually counted up to 4 or 4 missis.... and then threw. Other times that it seemed to have worked it seemed like my party members who attacked at the right time activated the glitch. On the other hand, I think I've seen my team members just hold up a vial glitch before the 1st phase where you're locked around the square fire tiles. Other times I've seen it thrown with/without success.
I've never seen any youtube video or topic search on this, so help would be appreciated, thanks.

Dang, they're actually going to fix it? Well I guess it's futile to practice on it, still I guess some of us would like to know other people's methods.

The only vial glitch I can actually confirm is hitting vana with a stun vial when he's summoning, causing him to double-summon and usually make the first batch die and drop hearts immediately. Double-attacking upon stun is not unique to vana though, I'm pretty sure every monster will do it if you time the stun right.
Of course, sometimes it doesn't quite work and you end up with 3-4 slag guards chasing you around.
The other vial trick isn't really a glitch, but instead you throw a freeze vial as soon as the shadow fire disappears while the team runs to either side, preventing vana from making an initial mace hit while whoever is doing the shivering runs up and freezes him the normal way.

I don't recommend talking about bug abuse on the forums.

Yeah, I was thinking stun would be one of the best vials to use for it's status effects, that and poison. But stuns seems to be more effective I guess since it slows him down a lot. Thanks for let me know about the vial glitch before the 1st phase. I had a feeling you had to actually throw it at Vanaduke the second the the flames around the team disappears since they would need to in order for Vana to get "hit" I guess. Of course, like the subsequent phases it seems that you have to be very very precise. I don't think timing the throw to have the vial hit right when Vana hits the ground with his mace works though, I have tried it and it usually results in less then 3 mississippis.
And yeah I figured it would be wrong to post about glitches, I just hope I don't get a warning for it or worse. Guess I 'll keep that in mind in the future. And I do use the bug reports. I've tried to report some glitches like the zombies that get "stuck" behind the walls of the FSC at d27 when the spiked wheels come push groups of slags down the staircase to the bottom. It's the room right before the last trojan room with the spike and flame hazards. It's hard to get all the loot there when it's been pushed behind the wall.

And it's not a bug, simply an interruption. Me and a vana buddy make use of this on final phase, throwing a poison vial at him with the right timing to interrupt his slag guard spawning. It's more an acquired skill than a glitch, as all you're doing is finding the few idle frames vana has before starting his summon animation. I wouldn't call it a glitch/exploit though, more of a knack to it.
However a real glitch is the sprite glitch posted on a certain guild's Youtube channel, that needs fixing.

Seriosly, asking on forum for glitches/bugs/exploits to abuse them in order to gain profits?

The sprite fountain glitch really does need fixing, since it can actually work in both directions: getting water without freeing enough sprites, and not getting water after freeing all the sprites.
That's actually the primary reason I perform that particular glitch: I don't want to end up reverse-glitched, and have to wait around half an hour for a GM to come reset the level or do whatever it is they do when the fountain doesn't work.
