I currently have the following equipment and would like people's views on what to upgrade first.
Please note: This is for general purpose, not just FSC and I have 3 weapons slots.
As well as two trinket slots
Swords:
Blizzbrand (My preferred weapon)
Avenger
Faust
Nightblade
Guns:
Giggawatt pulsar
Bombs:
None
Shields:
Wise owlite shield
Mighty defender
Dark thorn shield
Armour/Caps:
Ash tail coat and cap
Vog coat
Trinkets:
dual heart pendant
3 star piercing one
My usual loadout is my blizzbrand, faust or dark thorn blade and giggawatt pulsar.
If I wanted to get a shivermist soon, would it be best to start this first.

Ultimately it doesn't really matter, but you should upgrade your most used items first. For weapons, that's Blizzbrand and Gigawatt Pulsar. Upgrading Ash Tail Cap (to Skolver Cap) would help your sword damage bonus. If you want improved defense, then upgrade Wise Owlite Shield; if you have enough defense, then upgrade Dark Thorn Shield first, to get better sword damage. I don't recommend upgrading Mighty Defender at all.
Shivermist is pretty awesome against Vanaduke. I also use it on some fiends levels, to slow them down. Otherwise, I don't use it much anymore. Freeze can actually be counterproductive, by ruining kiting.
