What was the point of nerfing zombies?

Now I feel confident that I can do the 4 levels of FSC solo + no deaths - not counting Vanaduke himself - with a 3* Shockburst Brandish, a Final Flourish, and T2 armor (though I'd probably get owned on Stratum 5). Unlike Retrodes, Zombies were already INSANELY easy to manage before this patch; they already have slow reactions, slow movement, and their only ranged attack is relatively easy to dodge and only inflicts a status effect: in FSC's case, fire, which I should already have a resistance to.

- Almost all monsters have had their delay increased between spawning and attacking

- Retrode and zombie melee attack has been slowed down and damage area decreased

Sorry OOO, but I don't see why you had to patch the easiest enemy in the game.

What was the point? I question it too. Not to be bonvoyant.

Solo Vana is no small feat. Keep that in mind.

I can't solo Vanaduke

But the first time I did the 4 levels of FSC alone, I took damage only seven times. Five times from Trojans, once from the siege machines launching the big wheels, and once from walking carelessly into the burning tiles. And that was before the patch.

See my point? Zombies are so easy to avoid already, that they honestly don't need to be patched in any way. And the Brandish patch was completely pointless, Acheron was better than Gran Faust from the start and every Brandish bar Cautery Sword was already formidable enough before.

DON'T FIX WHAT ISN'T BROKEN.

No matter if they were

No matter if they were already easy they were doing something unfair other monters dont do, while the slap attack looked absurdly long.
It was kind broken, but one would expect a compensation to keep the challange.
That's where they failed at.

Yep.

Maybe OP haven't experienced high latency Zombies or Retrodes. I eventually learned to manage them (and then EU servers arrived), but they were really troublesome, if not frustrating at the start. And still were tbh, though I haven't logged in post-patch yet to see.

No

I dissagree, Juances. Zombies weren't broken.

Only problem with their swipe was most players have poor latency. Many call it lag. But its a user end computer issue.

Zombies were and still are fine. Just sucks to see a nerf.

I stick by that.

overnerf

The spawn delay is a welcomed change, since most of us have a bit of lag when monsters spawn. Honestly, thats alll I think they needed. Retrodes speed was about the only challenging part to them, and the autotarget wasnt a problem. Now, we're just fighting tiny lumbers.
